'Soviet' Green................  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It's Machinery Grey.  It needs a satin coat though.

Here's the all over shiny Tupolev.  There are a number of very tiny aerials to attach.  I'm in two minds as to whether to bother.  They'll only get snapped off.

Transfers on the Dodge are taking their time.  My home printed transfers tend to be fragile so it's better to put a few on and then let everything set rather than risk moving them with my big fat fingers while putting on the next one.

And i've demasked the Delta.  Clear was fine under the tape.  I neednt have worried about crazing.  I spent this evening sorting out some transfers for it.  I have more than enough home made leftovers to put it in Vic Air livery although the rego will take a little explaining.
See all those panel lines?  There's many hours of my life i won't get back put into rescribing those following PSR.  I think i've discovered a modeling task I dislike more than masking.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Ask yourself "Will you be able to see them from 6 feet away?"  If the answer to that question is "no", then save yourself the aggravation and leave them off.

Delta is starting to look very nice
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Magnificent, comrade Zenrat.
The Central Committee  are impressed, and are pleased to award you a BIG RED STAR  and  extra portions of borscht in the next but one five year plan.

The Delta is coming along very nicely, too.

With my eyes?  No.  Decision made.  Thanks Scoot.

I've been on evil bay a bit over the last few days looking at USN single engined strike aircraft - Avenger, Helldiver, Dauntless, Devastator.
I have an Academy Avenger in the stash but it is nasty and i'd like a better one.  I've made an offer on a Sword kit.
I also got confused and bid on an Airfix Skyraider by mistake, which I won, and then on a Hasegawa Dauntless which I lost.

Started putting transfers on the Delta today.  Stopped because I need to go through previous builds to check I haven't used the rego before.

I know the FAA likes to recycle N numbers.

We do here too with the VH registrations.  But the number i've used (V prefix not VH given its the PDRV reality) is from a distinctive series i've used previously which will link to a specific organisation.  Back story will explain.
All the transfers are on the Delta now.

What this has made me realise is that as I build more aircraft from the PDRV I will need to keep a register of registrations.

A definitively good use for spreadsheets.

I have one for the stash but i've not kept it updated WRT built kits.  I need to to a stocktake.
