Today I did some work on this years St V day flower and then continued with the transfers on the Tu-134.  I bought a set of windows from Authentic-Airliners.de specifically for the Zvezda kit.  Today I put on the nose and cockpit glazing.

I'm very impressed with these.  Definately  from me.
The passenger windows have faces at some of them.

Do any of the faces look like this guy? Probably on a route from Tehran to Moscow.

Did you forget to link a photo Kerick?

Womby.  I don't clear between layers of transfers as a rule.  I possibly should.  I got away with it this time.

WRT the Dodge, I stopped after the application of one transfer.  Both sheets have yellowed.  This is not always a problem but this is a white car and it sticks out iike a sore thumb.  I've scanned one of them and will try to fettle it to remove all background colour and then print it.

Is it worth trying to cut the surrounding film off and doing it that way?

That would be one way.  One very fiddly way which I do not have the patience for.
However, I discovered the software I use for drawing my own transfer designs (Libre Office) has a "replace colour" function which works extremely well.
I took this...

I've printed two copies (on clear transfer paper) and will clear them tomorrow after giving the ink 24 hours to fully dry.
Not being able to print white isn't a problem in this case as the car body is painted white.  I'll hand paint the racing numbers and class designations on the windows.

Re. the Tu-134.  I was about to clear over the multiple layers of windows today when I realised I still had more transfers to add - Aeroflot scripts, flags on the tail, cereal numbers etc.  So I paused.

Northrop Delta got some red cheatlines painted on the fuselage (i had masked it yesterday - have I mentioned...cont'd pg 1086).  I'm beginning to get nervous about how long the windows have been masked.

Ah, my mistake - I thought it was the one with the large 70's style shadow boxes in the panels...

I was trying to link a pic of the leader of Iran. Still can't make it work right. No biggy

I thought that might have been it.

I unexpectedly had to work all day today (a colleague or their kids are sick - details have not been provided) so I got nothing done other than a coat of clear on the Dodge transfers and second coat of red on the Northrop.

I saw those decals for the car and since I hadn't read everything I thought for a moment you were going to put those on the airliner! Now that would be a whiff!

Maybe someone got smart and flushed him down......
Wow! The septic tank is full! I guess we'll have to dump it over the Med!

There was a thread on here some years back about racing aircraft painted in race car schemes. Some of them looked REALLY good too, suited them a treat.

Tu-134 now has all its transfers on.  Next she gets her engines glued on, then a coat of clear. a couple of tiny aerials, and she's finished.

It does look very 'Russian', which in this case is probably good.

It does, doesn't it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks folks.
Engines glued on the Tu-134 today.  And I started preparing the stand for painting.  It is riddled with ejector pin marks.

Began putting the transfers on the Dodge.  I started with the blue/purple trim round the wheelarches.  As I suspected it needed touching up so I did that before moving on.

Today I cleared the Tu-134 and the Northrop Delta.  Both look sufficiently shiny.  Primed the Tupolev stand.  I was thinking gloss black but it's job isn't to be shiny and stand out.  It's job is to unobtrusively hold up the aircraft without being noticed.  So maybe satin black or machinery grey.
