I'm improving.  Today, before it got too hot to stay out in the shed, I painted the body of the current car build.  Despite wanting to get it done quickly I did manage to exercise restraint and didn't try to put ALL the paint on in one coat.  Three reasonably light coats of SMS lacquer.  Holden Palais White.  Which is, as far as whites go, just a normal pure white.  No interesting subtle hints of anything or metallics or pearl.  The kit is a Revellogram '67 Dodge Coronet Super Stock car.
This one.

Yes, it's got a Hemi.

On the 144 airliner front the transfers for the Tu-134 windows have arrived from Germany.  And very nice they look too.  Very high definition meaning you can clearly make out the  tiny faces peering out of some of the windows.
And i've started PSR on the Vanguard fuselage.  I showed Mrs z the Tupolev transfers and she said (apropos of nothing) "they should have Far Side cows peering out".
Which might work on the Vanguard as the windows are larger and oval meaning more space for a bovine head...

You made a great job of that Hemi Fred, love the crackle finish on the valve covers.

AND it's got a proper bracket holding the alternator too!

The crackle finish is moulded in...
...right under the chrome plating.  Which as we all know is incorrect for a factory stock street Hemi.  However both Revell and AMT consistently put their Hemi valve covers on the chrome sprue.
However, chrome can always be stripped and they more than made up for it by moulding a bracket onto the alternator.

The carbies and the dizzy on this are resin items from ThePartsBox.com.  The plug leads are 0.5mm wrapping wire.  Which is about twice as thick as it should be but it does the job.

I've been jumping about between builds recently.  But that's normal for me.  I get about an hour at the bench before work and I usually work on what takes my fancy rather than to any pre-set plan.

Today I did some work on this years St V day flower and then continued with the transfers on the Tu-134.  I bought a set of windows from Authentic-Airliners.de specifically for the Zvezda kit.  Today I put on the nose and cockpit glazing.

I'm very impressed with these.  Definately  from me.
The passenger windows have faces at some of them.

You made a CLASS job of that Fred! They'd have that on the Airliner SIG stand in a heartbeat.

That Tu 134 does look good
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks folks.
I put the passenger windows on today.  They look good.  There is now a "chrome" rim transfer to put on over each one.
Also second round of PSR on the Vanguard fuselage.

And a coat of clear on the Dodge Coronet body.  I'm building it OOB and there is an extensive transfer sheet to apply.  I have two examples.  Hopefully I can get a full set from them.  They are getting on.

You've probably thought of it already, but, just in case ... Gloss coat before you do the 2nd transfer layer!
