I'm happy to put my hand up as a nerd.  It's not an insult AFAIAC.

I've been running out of display space in the shed.  I can't bring myself to pack anything away and there are very few that need a rebuild.
However, Mrs z has evicted some shelves from the house and a remodelling of the shop at work has led to the acquisition of some surplus acrylic display units (three of which even have locks!.  All of this bounty needs modifying.  Either by the addition of acrylic sheet to keep the dust out or by having holes drilled so it can be screwed to something.
I also need to move stuff around to make space.  I started doing that today but got sidetracked into a spot of stash rearrangement.
Recently, new additions have had nowhere out of sight to go meaning they had been sitting in the open in plain sight and there has been a chance of observation and the associated risk of comment and even counting.  Obviously this couldn't be allowed to go on.
A bit of reshuffling resulted in boxes of models out of sight under a bench replacing my collection of part full tins of household paints.  They can sit out in the open as it is extremely unlikely Mrs z will ever start questioning why I need so many colours and why haven't I painted tham on something yet.

I also, after discussing the matter with my Brother-in-law for whom i'm building her, moved the Sea Witch ifrom "in build" to "paused".  I'll get back to her with the aim of finishing to coincide with his move back to 'straya from Thailand.  Whenever that may be.
In the meantime I now have space to work on these...

They certainly are.  That bike has been in bits far too long.

As far as I'm concerned NERD can be a compliment

They've probably been noted and counted already and filed away under "for future use" part of the female brain  ;)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've got a huge selection of half full cans of paint in a closet in the basement. You're not supposed to just throw them in the garbage and too many colors to paint on anything useful. If I mixed them together it would become the color of mud. They say to paint it on a sheet of plywood and let it dry. That might take all summer. PITA

Usually you can turn them in when your local utilities authority has their hazmat days.  Or, at least in NJ, if they're dried solid, they can go in the trash

The household Hazmat collections won't take them as it's not toxic enough I guess.  But too toxic to just dump in the trash. If you can get it dried out it's ok to trash it. That's the PITA part of it.

Great if they are oil based, water based paints tend not to burn very well.  There's a location for them at our local waste disposal site (aka The Tip).  Paints get passed on to a local youth project who brighten up bare concrete walls in one of the town car parks with (usually very creative) murals. Giving the local teens permission and materials  to paint a wall seems to reduce  graffiti elsewhere.

That's true, we have something similar here - one can even purchase the remains of paint cans from there for one's own use.

The Northrop Delta is nearing completion (fiddley bits, touch ups, and I am building a trolley) and as is my wont I have started something new.
A 1/72 Hobby Boss Mil Mi-2.  It looks good in the box and if it's anything like their same scale Mil Mi-4 it'll be a good build.
It'll be a sister to this one.

And i've started assembling the sub-assemblies of the Dodge.  Windows are installed in the body, as is the interior, and I glueds the chassis and engine in place this evening.

Ahhh.. you must have my mojo as you are jetting along.

Since I got back from os via Dubai, I might add, (interesting 24 hours  :o ) my inclination to bench time has been zero.
