Shame about the Breguet, it's a nice looking aeroplane and your almost "pseudo Italian" camouflage scheme has got me thinking

As for the Universal Carrier gun truck. How about something simple like a couple of Bren Guns but with the 100 round, "pan" magazines rather than the classic curved ones ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Or Vickers K guns, for that extra bit of fire-power. ;D

IIRC my back story for the Breguet had it as ex Luftwaffe returned to post war French service in Algeria.

Pod cast I was listening to was saying (in relation to SAS jeeps in France in '44) that while the K had a high rate of fire they were inaccurate.  They would scare the old men and the children and the press ganged eastern europeans in German uniforms but the experienced troops would just wait until the jeeps got closer and then take them out them with a 20mm.

This is just spitballing ATM.  I don't have another Universal Carrier or more AM tracks (which i'll need should I get another Tamiya carrier due to its rubber bands).

My neighbour and I finished splitting the rest of the firewood today.  This is good as it means I don't have to do it tomorrow and I get to spend time at the bench.

I've got the Northrop Delta ready for paint and have put it away to await weather more conducive to shiny gloss black and Alclad.
I'll do the same with the Bulldog once I get to that stage (I want shiny NMF on the cowlings).
This means a slot opened up on the bench into which A Hobbycraft Su-22 (single seater) fell.  I've built the Hobbycraft two seater version and it's a simple build which goes together fairly well.  Detail is engraved, cockpit is very simple (no pilot, no side consoles, no stick, a simple IP and a very crude bang seat), missiles are poor, and the undercarriage bays are laughably shallow.
I'll be having another go at PDRV Republican Guard border camo and using missiles from a Dragon weapons set.

I've also started a Hobby Boss 1/48 Dicker Max.  Painting wheels...

Su-22 has now got both stabs and one wing attached.  Second wing is being stubborn.  Every time I drill out the gun barrel (30mm wing root cannon) the glue on the seam lets go.  Third time re-glued and clamped.  🤞🏼

Woody is very close to completion.  Battery to be installed, number brackets and the shiny stuff.  Shiny stuff could be a PitA if the sprue attachment points were not thought about.  I haven't checked but it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world if I had to strip them and then alclad them - i want them to look patinated and there is no deadline.
I've started painting the surfboard.  I'm trying for a wooden longboard but the first paint (wooden deck tan) has done the typical tamiya acrylic thing and has dragged up as I brushed it out.

I've begun painting the VW van.  Transfers are designed but not yet printed.  Roof is masked off and i've painted the rest RLM 04 over tamiya pink primer.  The primer has richened it up nicely.

Also painting the body of the '66 Chevelle Wagon.  That's not going as well due to my impatience.  I can't get it through my thick head that more, thinner coats is going to get it done quicker than less heavy ones as that way I don't need to wait for it to dry completely to sand back the runs.   :banghead:
I also over thinned the first coat which didn't help.
This one is green.

Dicker Max wheels are all painted green.  All but 9 road wheels (too many wheels for my liking on a Pz IV) have the tyres painted.

Finished painting the rubber on the remaining Dicker wheels.  Thankfully they have a nice raised line between the rubber and the steel.

Restrained myself and took the time to get a good coating of purest green on the Chevelle.  Also started working on getting the new wheels to fit the suspension.  It should be relatively easy (i've even found some brake discs which fit) but they won't rotate.
66 Chevelle Wagon by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Glued the now whiffed tail back onto the broken Breguet.  It needs paint on the fins (tricolour if i can match the shades) and will need a smear of filler and some sanding on the joint.
I also cut down the new props.

Didn't touch the VW.   Masking is next and I want the paint properly dried before i put any tape on it.

Woody - finished the scratchbuilt exhausts and painted them.  Painted the bumper brackets.  Fitted the battery.
Sanded back the crappy finished tamiya acrylic on the surfboard and then tried again using a bigger, softer wider brush.  Same result.  I'm over their acrylics.  Last time I buy any i tell you.

Glued the second wing onto the Su-22.  Finally managed to drill out the gun hole without the seam splitting.

Oh yeah, I love estate car models, er sorry, 'wagons' I mean.

That Chevelle's quite a neat shape, very 'generic GM-ness' about it of course.

And it has the right number of doors.
I have an attraction to four door wagons.  This is the Revell kit but I also have in the stash Modelhaus resin kits of '70 Ford and '73 Chevrolet full size wagons which I bought when they closed down.

Oddly I like 2 door wagons, but we're all different, thank goodness.  ;D

Only 2 door wagons I happen to like are the P1800ES and the original 1954 Nomad concept.

But, as you say Kit, we're a different
