Ruddy cheek!

It's a Sports Hatch, one of the rarest Vauxhalls ever, they only made 197 of them, and mine was the 18th one off the line. I'd leave a BMW 323i for DUST in its time, and I drove it for over 100000 miles. Sadly a massive tree fell on it in its garage and demolished it totally, the body was about 18" high when they dragged it out. :(

And it's got NOTHING to do with a Chevette, apart from the fact that both were made by Vauxhall, and both were styled by the same genius, Mr. Wayne Cherry.

I don't mind them for airbrushing (though I haven't for years), but I never have been able to get them brush worth a d*mn.
Though the Juniors group had no issues... go figure.

I first thought the Chevelle was a Falcon, shame on me - wrong Marque... Must Do Better! :banghead:

No, it's a Viva with a bigger donk.

I sanded back the surfboard AGAIN and repainted it with Vallejo Acrylic.  This went on a treat although it'll need more coats.  Cork Brown with a touch of Pale Flesh is close to Wooden Deck Tan BTW.

I should probly have tooken some pics today.

The Woody is close to completion.  I've started attaching the shiny bits.  As usual the kit chrome is on the bright side so i'm coating it with s mix of black acrylic and gloss clear to make it look aged.  This has the added benefit of helping hide the sprue attachment scars.  Bumpers, hubcaps, and grille are on.  Bumpers still need clearing.

I masked and sprayed the roof of the VW.  One fisheye.   :banghead:   This should be solved by sanding.  I used the wrong shade of black anyway.

Su-22 has moved very quickly to the paint stage.  While simple the Hobbycraft kit goes together well requiring little PSR.  Good engraving as well.
So far i've painted the underside blue.

I like it, I have a thing about the Maggies (see here https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=46914.msg856409#msg856409) and that looks a great idea.

It may look even better with the cockpit a tad further forward though, just my 2d, or maybe 2 Euros if it's an IAC Maggie.

My drawing is the easy way to a single seat - leave the back cockpit as it is, shorten the canopy, and panel over the front 'pit.
Having it that far beck however gives room for guns in the nose.

I've begun work (again) on part two of my Brief History of the People's Democratic Republic of Victoria.  I immediately realised I needed to know what had gone on in my timeline's version of WW2 and when I started thinking about that it became clear I didn't have a map of what Australia looked like in 1939.
So I drew one.

I took some pics today.

Su-22.  The completed two seater is providing the template for the camo.  I am adjusting the colours.

All three looking good mate
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

These were the ones I did in 2009  ;D  :

And this is what I ended up with:

Thanks folks.

H.  I prefer the look of the one using the back seat.  Like your camo.

All the colours are now on the Su-22.  I replaced the Pale Sand with a blue.  All the upper colours are RLM shades.  It looks 1) Russian and b) like Comrade Harps chose the colours.  I'm happy with how it's coming along.  Better than the two seater.

Woody is completed.  I took some pics last night.  I need to fettle them then i'll post them up.

Both sets of (link and length) tracks are fitted to the Dicker Max.  Hopefully the wheels to which they are glued will slide off their axles as one unit so I can paint the hull behind them and the rest of the tank.

I went for the MB-326K approach, basically. The thought was to keep the ammo near the CofG, given that it's a relatively large fraction of these little aircraft's total weight. The backstory was that it's Israeli in origin: they tried a pair of 30mm DEFAs, but it nearly stalled when they fired them, so they used the 20mm Colt Mk.12s that were spare after they'd replaced them with DEFAs on their Skyhawks.

With all the volume available from the front cockpit and the nose bay (which can already hold a pair of 7.62mm MGs) adjacent in your approach, one thing you could do is copy the A-37B Dragonfly and fit a 7.62mm minigun with a BIG ammo tank behind it.
