And by that, you mean "Stomp all over them and grind them into paste, wipe your feet and carry on"?  ;D

That's the general idea.

Very Good, As You Were.

As it was out (source of transfers for the Japanese van) I have been fiddling with a Hasegawa VW van.  These are very simple - a one piece body, a floor and some suspension.  No real engine, just the bottom half.  However, they are accurate, look good, and are dead easy to lower.  This one is going to end up with about a 1mm clearance between the front bumper and the ground.  That should be low enough.

Watch out for Wombats...  ;)
Wait - Cow Catcher! And a basket to hold them in, until the vehicle stops and they can be shuffled off to the side of the road.

I think this is low enough.

And just to prove it'll still roll...

That is the result of channelling it by 13mm (a scale 13").  You can see where the floor now is in the pictures.

Beware any speed bumps, or even some lost tissue paper!  :o

Unless there's a mid-mounted big-block V8 or v12 behind the doors.  ;D

So, to contradict myself, I suppose it could go fast ... In a straight line, down a smooth, clean drag strip.  ;)

Probably installed air suspension so that the driver can adjust the ride height!

Fit a Citroen suspension!  Coupled with some of the engine options mentioned it would be a handy machine  for causing nausea amongst the boy racers at the traffic light grand prix.

I've borrowed this sprue cutter from my neighbour.  I'm hoping it'll be up to coping with the big attachment points on short run kits...

It is also proving handy turning this...

...which is what I spent a good part of today doing.

Airfix are selling a Masters of the Air Bundle.  Two B17s, two P51s, two FW190s, one Me109, and the bomber resupply set.
Shame Airfix's B17s are Gs (chin turrets) when, as I may have pointed out elsewhere all the CGI model Forts in MotA are Fs.
At least all the kits are in the one true scale.

I had a rummage today looking for inspiration for the 1WGB.  Could I complete a car model in a week?  Maybe.  I've done it before.  The trick will be to choose a kerbside kit so there isn't an engine to build as that would take time.  However, how to whiff is the question.  I'd like to do more than just change the wheels, ride height, and paint.
An Airfix Wildcat is also an option.  Fit should be OK.  It'd be mostly a paint whiff but maybe i'll hang some small bombs on it.

On the subject of properly scaled aircraft, i've been rescribing panel lines on the Special Hobby Northrop Delta.  This is a PitA job I view with the same dislike I have for masking but as i'm thinking of a NMF scheme it probly needs to be done.

I think that may even have trouble with one or two of the older ones
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
