There's another promotion running for the next ten days too: £15 off an order over £75 if you use this discount code:

SS14A15off75

You don't have to be a club member or have received the e-mail to use it. However if you are a club member and signed in, it will give you either the Club Discount of 10% or the £15, whichever's greater, but not both. The decision is automatic.

Interesting it wouldn't let me use the code when I was already signed in - giving me only the Airfix Club discount.

However, if I signed in as a guest applied the code, and then signed in as a club member I then got an additional £3.00 off (10% of the Spitfire XIX) = £18.00 discount total

Peculiar! Now dare I press the buy button!  ;D

Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Go on, you KNOW you want to.

The £15 code only applies to orders over £75.

Yes, you can only use ONE discount code (and Club Discount counts as a discount code), so it gives you whatever code gets you the most. For instance:

1. I just went in with a £110 order and got the Club Discount of £11.

2. I then applied the discount code, and it changed my total discount to £15, because that was more than £11.

3. I then increased my order to £164. It gave me Club discount of £16.40 and refused to accept the £15 discount code because it was less than £16.40.

There is a logic to it, but it's a bit confusing because all three types of discount are applied on on different pages of the checkout process:
Airfix Club discount is applied on the "shopping cart" page,
Discount Codes are applied on the "checkout" page,
and Hobby Reward Points are applied on the "payment" page.

I'll amend my original post to hopefull make it clearer.

I'm curious to see whether the 'A15BOO' discount code is applied differently from the 'SS14A15off75' code (I don't think I need to spend £75 with the former one?)

As for pressing the BUY BUTTON some of my Hobby Reward Points don't become available until the 5th November ....sp common sense says to wait three more days!  ;D

Was A15BOO the one you got by completing the trick-or-treat challenge?

So I just bought my friend's kid's Christmas present from Airfix, and I ended up using NONE of the discount codes, Hobby Reward Points, or free tank offers!

Why?

Because using the 15% codes instead of my 10% Club discount, and/or using my Hobby Reward Points, put me under the threshold for free postage, meaning I'd be paying £4.95 P&P for nothing, and there was nothing I wanted for myself to bulk the order up to over the limit with 15% off, or over the limits for free tanks.

I'll just pass on the offers and save the Hobby Reward Points for when I do want something...

Yes, but they gave it to you anyway afterwards, even if you didn't do the trick-or-treat challenge!  ;D
