1/24? I can't see that big.................. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gloster Gladiator?

Background is of dark clouds and a lightning bolt so...

P-47 Thunderbolt
EE Lightning
Hawker Typhoon or Tempest - they've got all the data from the recent 1/72 releases.

Wouldn't be a Typhoon re-pop.

As for the others, maybe, but probably not.  Must admit I missed the detail in the image, so having looked again.....

Lightning? F-35B? Again, have the details and would be something out of left field to make people take notice.

I'm in! I don't do 1/24 and I'd have to sell half my stash, but that would sway me!

It's the Thunderbirds intro! So my next prediction is Thunderbird 6!  ;D

Seriously, for a few years I've thought aTiger Moth would be a good 1/24 subject for Airfix. They'd have one in all their major aircraf scales and it's well recognised internationally. If they could licence Thunderbird 6 decals, all the better.

A lightning bolt can only mean one thing.

Whatever it is you can be assured that there will be much weeping, gnashing of teeth, rending
of garments and donning of sackcloth and ashes from some quarters regardless of kit subject.

Already got my sackcloth ready since the only thing we know so far is that it's definitely the wrong scale. ;)

Oh well, at least I get the sadistic thrill of watching the Airfix staff watch me studiously ignore it on their stand at SMW...

As I don't generally build  aircraft in any scale larger than 1/72,this announcement is a matter of supreme indifference to me.

A waste of time, money and other resources that could be better spent on affordable kits to appeal to a wider audience.
