Which mark Spitfires haven't they done yet in 1/24?

Even I would be impressed (and slightly tempted) by a 1/24 Lighning (either P38 or EE - not F-35).

<i've just noticed the e-mail says "not another spitfire".  Maybe they do pay attention?
So, its a Seafire then...>

Loads, but a XII would be really off beam!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

A waste of time, money and other resources that could be better spent on affordable kits to appeal to a wider audience.

But at least it gives people something to complain about  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Agreed. At least it complements anyone's Spitfire display I suppose. But Airfix really need to get over this hunkering down behind Battle of Britain stuff and diversify more.

Me 109.  The spitfire of luftwaffe model kits...

The G was introduced mid '42.  Two years after the BoB.

I don't do luftstuffe. A Hunter would have been nicer.

;D  ;D  .Never a truer word! I also think perhaps that this represents a shocking lapse of judgement on the part of the Airfix marketing team. I expect they have all received "come up and see me" letters from the Fat Controller. By way of atoning for their sins, the entire 2026 range will now consist only of Spitfires.............!

Small point of detail, the Bf-109G didn't appear until 1942 (I think) but, otherwise, I completely agree with you.  ;)

I don't generally do anything larger than 1/72 but, if you're after a large Hunter, the Revell 1/32 Hunter T.7 is due soon

I kind of get it as it replaces their old tooling, but I also think that something like a 1:24 Zero, MiG or even Meteor might've been more exciting...
