The Wessex is in stock.

I just ordered one, and another Buccaneer, and got my free Beaufort, and with Club discount and Hobby Reward points, they stand me at about £15 quid each... ;D

I tried the Nectar point thing with this order, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I suspect that it only applies to the Hornby railways site, and that clicking through to Airfix negates it.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wessex is now in stock at Airfix, and they are processing the backorders, which includes the two I have on order.

Cheers - I saw the robot-read "podcast" about it on Youtube, but since those aren't very good, I decided to wait for the text version.

It's not bad for £50 as prices go today. I may get one. However if it ends up being cancelled after three flights as has been suggested (it's hideously over-budget and behind schedule), this may be one of those "Tamiya Sgt York" kits where the manufacturer committed too soon for the politics... ;D  (all the better for us whiffers, of course).

The re-issued Saturn V is back in stock now as well.

The free Beaufort offer is still on (ends 12th Sep): should I add something extra on to my SLS order? Do I really need another Beaufort?

Personally, I'd have preferred the Saturn 1B to the Saturn V but, what the hell. That's just me😉😂.

The Revell Artemis SLS is also due in about 4 weeks. I suspect that for many, price will determine choice so, I'll wait a few weeks longer before I decide which to buy 😅

Is the Revell one the same scale as the Airfix one?

IIRC their Saturn V was half a scale larger, or something silly like that.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Revell have two Saturn V kits, one in 1/144 and a 1/96 beastie that's probably the one you're thinking of.

If you're referring to the Revell Artemis SLS, it's also 1/144. Due for release October 12th.

Yeah, that's the one, thanks. The display one I built almost came up to my waist!  :o
