Been playing with Photobucket and I really don't like what they've done. I can't see anyway you can actually post and image. You can share one for sure, but I'm not particularly happy with that  :-\

So it looks like I'll be winding my Photobucket account down once I'm sure I've stored all the images elsewhere.

I'm obviously to old fashioned in my ways for them.  :-\

Yes, how dare you want to actually own your own photo's! They're obviously the property of PhotoBucket!   :banghead:

I'm starting to understand what they've done, but I'm still not happy with it. I'm going to "breath deeply" for a week or so and then go back to it.

Apparently some of the modelling website servers have this attitude to any and all research/photos etc posted on their sites...
  :banghead: , indeed!

One reason I haven't been back - another is that the revised sites are unwieldy at best, and apparently they've been taken over by trolls.

One of them not too far from here..............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gloster Meteor F.Mk8 and FR.Mk9 Dave.

It's an excellent addition IMHO and I shall be renewing my subscription at the London show  ;D

A little more progress on the Mosquito this morning. Attached the separate nose sections to the main fuselage halves. There are guides to the fit, but in retrospect, and if I were to build another, I'd use a medium super-glue in order to avoid any slippage in the parts. They look ok, but the proof in the pudding will be when I get back to it next week.

I'll definately build one of the Airfix kits after she's finished just to compare ease of build if nothing else.

Hmm.  Just read the SAM build article regarding the Special Hobby Mossie PR.XVI and I think it'll be an Airfix one for me.

Are SAM in a scathing mood?

No not really.  It just sounds an unnecessarily fiddly build.
The Airfix B.XVI has its faults that are mostly overcome in both the PR.XVI and the new TT35/B35/B.XVI boxings, but in each case appears to be a much more straightforward build.

The Airfix one certainly looks a simpler build, however I wanted the NF 30.  Still we will see next year when I build an Airfix B.XVI & B.35

Ah.  Had got it in my head you were building the B.XVI.
