Little bit moree work done on both the Fw 187 and the Mosquito. Not much, but progress is progress, right ?

When it comes to the 187 I now have a completed airframe, and whilst trial fitting the canopy, which is masked up to allow me to convert it to a single seater, it reminded me in some way of the Pucara's. I shall go and llie down

As for the Mosquito, work continues on the interior and it will soon be time for paint. First impressions are very good. The level of detail is excellent and the fit so far has been very good. The parts have guides/aids to alignment/attachment and whilst it by no means is a "shake and bake" kit a comparison with the Fw 187 shows just how far Special Hobby have come. They've not yet caught up with Eduard or indeed newcomers like Arma, but they are pushing them

I've a mind to build one of my Airfix kits after I've finished it as a kind of contrast and compare excercise ?

Some progress, mainly PSR on the 187. There's one particular area that just won't behave it'self. It's only really visible under certain lighting conditions and from certain angles but I seem to keep finding both of those  :banghead:  One more go and then I'll just get on with it, but I've said that a few times already

Testing, testing. There's been an issue with some of my Photobucket images so I thought I'd report this older model as a test.

Appears to be ok to me

Yep, that one's good! No watermark!

Still there on the H-75 pic's though, except the second one, which is really weird!

Works fine for me.

Is that a Rhodesian AF Meteor F8 Chris? Looks good and very plausible if it is.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It is indeed and there's a build thread on here somewhere.

It's certainly odd. When I look at them none have the watermark.

When I get some time I'm going to have a look at it and see if I can see a reason why some of my historical threads have the watermark, whilst others from the same period don't   Probably be post Telford now though as I've a lot on over the next few weeks and I'll need my wits about me and some time to try and analyse the problem.

Ooh, nice Meteor, don't think I've seen that before.

Thank you sir.

Meanwhile I decided to order a couple of things from Hannants that I was going to get at Telford. The cost of them took me over their current free postage offer, so I would have only saved a £5 at most at SMW and then I'd have had to lug them home.

Anyway it looks as though the FLY Tigercats might be out by SMW

As for the bench ? A little progress on both current projects. Not much but progress is progress

Avery nice Meteor!  As to progress, there's a lot of jobs that need a great deal of looking at before you take action.

Something Life teaches you... that and having to tear apart the latest glued joint for the umpteenth time, to adjust the fit to what you originally imagined it to look like. Sigh.

NARSES2

The November copy of SAM dropped through my letter bx with a thud yeaterday and one of the builds is  of the new tool SH Mosquito. The review is of the PR version and I'm building the NF one. Anyway it's going to be useful as the builders views on the kit are basically the same as mine, excellent detail but the parts need some trimming and cleaning up to ensure a decent fit. So as said before not a "shake and bake" kit and one which will take some care and attention.

Both the current kits I'm working on will require some "care and attention" so won't be finished anytime soon, so I think I'll break out one of what I consider "relaxing" builds to accompany them and keep the enthusiasm level up.
