No, it's fine thanks. I've actually got quite a few small shelf units with the slide out trays. One large one is on my bench with putty, glues, scalpel handles etc in it. Others have paints. it's just I've just never got around to organising the ones with the spares in them properly. Not so much a lack of storage, just plain old laziness

I got and e-mail from Microsoft the other week saying that support for Windows 10 would be ending on 25/10/25. Now I don't particularly want to lash out on a new laptop just yet and I was musing on what to do about it when lo and behold I clicked on this morning to save some files to an external hard drive, a task I do every month, and I discover that you can extend essential Windows 10 security support through to 25/10/26 with a couple of clicks and no extra cost. So that's done and next year would probably have been new laptop time anyway.

I certainly can't help with the latter as I suffer from bouts of that myself.

The H-75 has had its underside masked off and so is now ready for the top colour. Meanwhile psr has contined on the wings/cowling fit and considering how old the kit is it 's not that onerous task at all (touching al the wood going when I say that)

Been very busy with other things, and will continue to be so for a couple more weeks, but I am getting some work done on both the H-75 and the Fw. Hopefully I'll be bringing the 75 to Telford and that reminds me that it'll be time to sort my trains out next week. My how tthe year flies.

Well I've managed to get the H-75 painted and it's now ready for its transfers which hopefully will bring it to life. Hopefully get these done over the next few days, but I've now got to put my editor's cap back on and bring the Newsletter together which will take up a fair bit of time.

Also got my travel arrangements sorted for Telford. This entailed my ususal battle with Avanti West Coast's website  :banghead: Now I use a fair few of the UK rail companies websites on a regular basis, and most of them, including Cross Country's, are preaty good, but Avanti's is crap, and what's worse is that they know it   They are constantly apologising, and have been for a year or so, for the site miss-behaving and yet don't seem to do anything about it. Oh well it's done now.

Been a few years since I was a semi-regular traveller with them but Avanti has IMHO been a pretty poor service provider all round.  Southern/Thameslink are pretty good, tbh.

Agree there Dave, although Avanti have mproved their actual service over the last couple of years, you just struggle to get a ticket.  Agree regarding Southern/Thameslink and they are the ones I use all the time   LNER (which is Govt owned) iis preaty good as well

I tend to try the Network Rail site at https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ to start off with, and it switches you to the actual ticket seller once you've figured out which trains you need to get anywhere.

I tend to use Google Maps to get an idea of train options then just use Southern's app to book, regardless of destination - I'd start off with Southern whichever direction/destination.

If I'm heading to somewhere in The Smoke that's not a Southern/Thameslink stop - e.g. Kew Gardens for The National Archives, or Chalk Farm for the London model show - I book to the Tube station rather than faff with Tube tickets (or tap in/tap out with a bank card).

I use my "Old Farts Free Pass"  ;D and then my 3rd off pass for travel outside London

Most of the transfers are on the H-75, and they have brought it to life   Hopefully she'll be coming to SMW with me.

As for the Newsletter ? I'm having my usual disagreement with Word. I really don't get on with it. Mainly because I don't use it that much and every time I do it's changed a bit. Never been a fan of it or Excell either. Used Lotus and Wordperfect at work many years ago.

Hopefully get the H-75 finished and photographed next week, then I can get back to work on the Fw 187. After the 75's finished I'll make a start on the SH Mosquito as I like to have 2 or 3 going at the same time.

Bit of poodling on the H 75 this morning. Just need to attach a couple of sticky out bits, varnish and then the prop. So hopefully

Now Chris, don't you go getting all technical on us again, we're confused enough after the last time...

... or is that just me? I'm confused... and I think I just got recursive again...
