I've got a wonderful habit of seeing things on eBay and placing bids or offers that I think "there's no way it'll sell for that little" and winning them. Most notably in the past it acquired me 3/4s of a BSA Bantam, but this week has gained me a Roden Rolls Royce Armoured Car and two Special Hobby Buchons !
Perfect is the enemy of Finished. I presume. I've never achieved either.

A few 1/48 resin bits were delivered from the48ers.com in Cyprus...

You cannot view this attachment.

I just wish Cat4 or someone else did that resin intake in 1/72... but if i'm wishing, might as well ask for the full 1/72 and 48 A-7 family by Tamiya...

I seem to have 'inherited' a few kits while my house move took place, not sure how, but I don't look gift horses in the mouth. They're a :-

1/24 Revell 'New Beetle' kit in red.

1/35 Revell M1A1 Abrams tank kit, which look as if all the track is in individual bits!  :-\

1/35 Tamiya M60A1 tank kit with reactive armour, whatever that is.

None are really my thing, but who knows? Would a Hemi fit in the Beetle?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I doubt that a Hemi would  fit in a Beetle, back or front, but some sort of air cooled rotary  engine in the back and ballast in the front (bigger/longer/heavier front wings?) might be possible

That's a nice kit!

Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) is (in very basic terms) boxes/panels of explosive wrapped in steel which detonates when struck by an armour-piercing projectile & disrupts its effect on an AFV's armour.

The Hemi might fit if it was on a pallet and all but the drivers seat was removed. The Abrams turret would crush the beetle in RW. But it would be fun with an outrageous backstory!

I'll try it and see, even if they are wildly differing scales.  ;D

I mean, it takes a bit of work no doubt, but allegedly this is a Hemi-powered Beetle....

That's the original beetle though, with another engine in the back.  ;D

I'd say that front end has been lengthened  bit though, look at the front overhang.

A friend put the 1/35 Aliens APC turret on a 1/24 Mini, once... IIRC he may also have given the vehicle tracks of some sort (it's been a while since I've seen it)...   :o

The warheads of anti-tank missiles/rockets are shaped charges, which only work if they're the right shape when they explode AND the right distance from the armour (Monroe Effect: they "focus" the blast like a lens does with light). Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) consists of a block of explosive sandwiched between two heavy steel plates. It explodes outwards when the projectile hits it, sending the outer plate flying through the shaped charge and disrupting it. The result is that you get a big bang outside the armour, rather than a focussed bang punching through it. Later versions can also disrupt kinetic penetrators, i.e. solid rods that punch through the armour by sheer momentum.

The danger with ERA is that it can harm friendly troops that are next to the tank when it gets hit. A more recent development is Passive Reactive Armour, which replaces the explosive with a plastic/rubber compound that expands violently when impacted, producing something like the same result.
