Looking forward to it!
Would that be a Lightning with engines in parallell or stack?

Stacked.

I don't think I've ever built an EE Lightning either ? Certainly not an F-35 one, although I have built a couple of P-38's

I've looked at that myself, actually. Denmark being close to the frontier and too small a country to field roadbases etc would neither bother much about shifting the somewhat complicated maintenance organisation between airfields, nor would they need very much endurance, but rather raw power and speed to quickly reach a fast intruder. And that does sound a lot like a Lightning to me.

Having built (but not completed, I know) that ancient Airfix F.1A, I've come to like the shape of the aircraft without that bulbous big later belly tank. Hence, I just might look at another one, either as an F.3 or perhaps more likely, an F.2 but with the later, larger fin to facilitate something more fancy than the Firestreaks.

But I'm rambling. Looking forward to see what you come up with.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Gondor

Received from the BIG yellow H this evening

1 x 1/72 eduard 70147 MiG-21R ProfiPACK edition. Not only three different reconnaissance pods, but a choice of other things to hang under the wings.

1 x 1/72 Brengun BRL 72274 British Browning Mk.II [8pcs]. Bought for the Buckingham, but I am sure they will be useful with other things as well.

1/72 Sword RF84F Thunderflash

Also with an assortment of aftermarket bits and a couple of decal sheets for the F16.

Bought from the kingkit.co.uk model graveyard, a complete except for the decals and glazing minicraft 1/144th scale TU-22 M. This will get the same treatment as the previous one I bought, and have the front end of an SU-15 put on it, and scalerama 'd to 72 scale. This one will have ground pounding ordnance fitted unlike the previous version which has air to air missiles fitted. Not sure if I will camouflage it, or do it in a dull NMF. Probably camouflage.

Staying with Aunty in the South of Adelaide so as is my way when here I this morning made the 10 minute walk to the Melrose Park Hobby Habit.
I walked back later with some paint, some thinners, and these...

This one is two bikes and all the figures in the box art.  PE spokes.

I'm not interested in this from a Stranger Things PoV but couldn't resist a new mould Chevy Van.  Its a kerbside but has full interior detail and opening side and rear doors.  It may fit onto an AMT Chevy Van chassis which would provide it with an engine and underside detail not moulded in one with the chassis.

Not being particularly interested in 1/35, but being very interested in small-bore Hondas, I really like this set- especially the guy in fatigues and sunnies on his little Honda! The model railway market really ought to catch up and start putting out some decent 00 gauge bikes that aren't big-bore Brit ones so I can have people whizzing around my models on cubs and ss50s.
Perfect is the enemy of Finished. I presume. I've never achieved either.

zenrat

Gecko also do this set.

No figures, just a Cub, SS50, what looks like a Vespa PK, and a pushie.

Those bikes are excellent Fred, at first glance, I thought the black one in the foreground was a fizzie

You've got a 'thing' about Starlifter's,, haven't you?  ;D

I've never heard of the A&A Models kit, what's it like? I have a Nova vacform 1/72 C-141B in The Loft somewhere, but haven't seen it for a decade or two.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Aeons ago, I produced a backstory for the KC-141 Starfueller,  which might possibly be of some use or interest to you. .
