1/144 Revell A310 from evil bay for a sensible price of just over £20. Just looking for a sensibly priced A318 and A319 to complete the family.

The paint in these sets is preaty good actually (as far as I'm aware it's standard Humbrol), but the tiny pots can be a problem. Use a palet  ;D  :thumbsup:

Old Wombat

Nine pages ago I ordered these;

Quote from: Old Wombat on February 22, 2026, 06:42:37 AM1 x Meng 1/35 Canadian Main Battle Tank Leopard C2 MEXAS w/Dozer Blade (MENG-TS041) - I blame GTX_Admin (Greg) & apophenia (Stephen) over on BTS for this one! (See link below)
1 x Trumpeter 1/35 ASLAV-25 Reconnaissance Vehicle (TR 00392) - I blame GTX_Admin (Greg) & apophenia (Stephen) over on BTS for this one! (LINK!)

Tonight I ordered these - again, the blame lies squarely upon the shoulders of Greg & Stephen;

2 x Perfect Scale Modellbau 1/35 M113 Tracks Diehl 513B Track Links (PSM-A1011)
1 x Tamiya 1/35 M113A2 Armoured Personnel Carrier-Desert Wagon (TM 35265) - mostly for the external long-range fuel tanks on the back
1 x Orange Hobby 1/35 Rheinmetall 120mm L44 Barrel for Leopard 2A4 for Meng Models TS-016 [Resin+Metal+PE] (OH G35-146)

Which completes my kit requirements to complete the two builds I intend doing.

Accompanying them are these;

5 x Grey Fox Concepts 1/35 Centurion Road Wheels Replacement for AFV Club Rubber Rims (GFC350014) - I said I had a lot of Centurions!

I am wondering how those Jerry cans stay on the rear of that M113. Magnets? I can't see anything for them to sit in or on, and no straps to hold them there.

Sheer bloody-mindedness goes a long way.  ;D  ;)

It's obviously an oversight - either by the builder or Tamiya - but I don't really care, as it's an easily fixed detail of no great importance.

Received today

 1 x 1/72 Special Hobby SH 72141 Blackburn Roc Mk.1 'FAA Turret Fighter'

I now have both the Roc and the Skua, which were basically the same aircraft, other than one carried bombs, and the other had a turret.

The Wooksta!

There were some slight changes - the Roc had proper dihedral as opposed to the upturned wingtips on the Skua.  Ironically, the Roc probably could have carried fixed forward armament as the wings were designed for it, plus it could carry bombs too.  The bulk of the Rocs were built by Boulton Paul, in between batches of Defiants. The MMP book on the Skua/Roc is worth getting (I don't recall the author's name), as is Skua! by Peter C Smith.

Famous people flying Skua/Roc?  Laurence Olivier.

I have already found and bought a copy, which is on its way to me.

I've a copy of the Pavla Roc in my stash, I suspect your copy will be a much easier build!

One of the few kits (indeed may be the only one) I gave up up on  :banghead:

You definitely gave up on the Pavla Skua, as you gave me some of the bits.  I donated them, plus a complete part start I'd bought for a quid at a show, to Uncle Frank.

I remembered giving you the bits after I posted my reply above  :angel:

A 1/24 Protar Ferrari 512S, snaffled from ebay at a ridiculous price, for a Protar kit anyway.  :thumbsup:

The Wooksta!

The resin I ordered last week arrived yesterday.  The Buccaneer fin is curing now, as well as several engines for people.
