Hmm, I see that most will go for a car that can swimm. But I guess a ship that can go on land would also fit into this GB.

My spare part box tells me that there is an idea.

There's an episode of Top Gear where they attempt to break the water speed record, Clarkson finds a boat that has tracks fitted so it can drive itself in and out of the water so it doesn't need a trailer. It wasn't road legal but it could be a starting point for this GB.
The car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and FAB 1,they were both multi-functional. I dear say that Q Branch had something similar for 007 or the Batmobile if its allowed.

I'm still trying to get my head around this GB ,, not with the rules or such ,, just the idea side of things ... being a armour modeller  amph's are common in my world .. things like the entire BTR familing ,,BRDM and BMP machines are also all amphibious ... i've notice the world DUKW being used alot too . ..i am extremely familiar with this machine ,,just check out my nick  ;D
Man did build a fully amphibious 4x4 truck many yrs ago ,,it was either yellow or orange ..don't remember the colour now but that was very cool .
So i'll keep sitting in the shadows watching and reading this GB and trying to think of something   :banghead:  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

So what if you would go completely out of your comfort zone and built an aircraft like thingy for this GB?  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
I'm sure it would be wonderful!

Don't you dare go there Tom
What would really be out of my comfort zone are things that float ,,i'll commission build floaty things but i'm no boat builder modeller type dude at all but boat/ car things have ben done left right and centre ,,hell there's even a boat in the RW with tracks so it can climb out of the water ,,god even the lads on Top Gear did  one and it worked great
Yeah this aint gonna be easy bud .

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Jumping jeep might be up your alley.  Military vehicle, flying and utterly bonkers. It was supposed to be a vehicle that could clear a 10ft high by 30ft wide obstacle. Although many of the designs were capable of true flight so would fit in here.

Take a favourite vehicle and stick on liftfans, wings, rotors or a combination. Or go (only slightly) crazier with rockets. Joe 90's flying car isn't that crazy by comparison.

More. I believe the Folland designs were  amphibious as well so you've got three-in-one.

How about this for a lark...

A flying boat that can raise and turn its wings to the vertical to create a sail effect when operating on water?

Imagine a Catalina or Sunderland where the wings fold like on a F6F Hellcat but instead of the wings going back alongside the fuselage they go up into the air. Maybe you could rig a sail between the two wings for extended range?

Probably would need a retractable keel to maintain balance. Could be military, could be civilian luxury flying yacht.

I rather like that idea, imagine a Blackburn Perth or similar doing such a thing with both sets of wings, it'd be like a flying square rigger!

It'd be hellish difficult to build though!  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
