The irony is deafening in light of your narrowly defined, zero discussion, immovable position on rules in regards to your old Gunships GB on BTS.

Girls, Girls, please don't fight... I'm actually pretty pumped about this group build.  There are very few real world amphibians that can actually operate in two regimes BUT a lot of proposals and lots of room for imagination.  Some Japanese WWII tanks had floats that were a PITA to detach, so usually  operated with them still stuck on.  They didn't NEED to be detached to function as a tank and acted like German Schurzen...

Not built in large numbers, but isn't that what WHIFS are for? Like the 20 or so LandWasserSchleppers the nazis built and have out of the box models all over the place...

Think about Sky 1, the Mantas from Sky Captain, "Sea Tanks" from the invading aliens in "the kraken awakes", submarine tanks, submarine aircraft, flying tanks, land vehicles that can bore their own tunnel to wherever they darn well please, even if they miss that left turn at Albuquerque.  Build it weird, build it big and be quick about it. That's what my beady little mind likes about group builds.  And now, I'll get me coat.

Yes, both of those are in the spirit of this GB.

Best of luck building one though, that'd be 100% sctrachbuilt!  :o

Gundam mobile suits.  They can fly through the air (and in space) and walk about on land.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Let me see what in my stash I could offer up for this GB...

DUKW - swam onto the D-Day beaches and driven all the way to Berlin.

Alvis Stalwart - well, it did do river crossings and one got halfway across the Channel

Tatra V855 - Prop driven Ski car. Add floats at the side for water operations.

Space Shuttle... submarine?

TomZ

I can't wait to see the results. Perhaps mix all together?

Had an idea, which unusually for me involves small scale armour, just running it past the Mod's first.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'll be concentrating on two builds; the flying Jeep which can be seen at the Army Air Corps Museum, Middle Wallop. I'll be kitbashing the 1/24 Austin FX4 Taxi and the Italeri Land Rover Fire Truck plus spare parts, sort of  Armed Forces flying fire truck.

The second build is based around the 1/144 Revell A-90 Ekranoplan model kit with a twist in the engine design and purpose.

I'm thinking a simple Lidl Airfix DUKW in one of the dazzle esk British north Africa schemes - because the thought of amphibians in the desert tickles me

You never know, it might have oversteered into an oasis.  ;D

Duck Tours have fitted theirs with electric motors and a new lick of paint.
