Indeed so. Do we have any Fenwickian roundel designs anywhere?

I did some recently on a Bristol Superfreighter. On my phone at the moment so it's a pain to provide a link.

Of course the main gun can only fire East, or West depending on whether the ship is travelling North or South on the canal...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Quote from: Weaver on September 15, 2025, 07:13:54 AMThere's a few other members who are in London IIRC: could you give your kits to one of them prior to the show and have them bring them up to Telford?

We have members who live in the South East, but not Londoners like me. Even then it's a mater of meeting up, handing over boxes, and then picking them up again post show. I'll just try to securely pack a couple, done it before, so with care and a pinch of luck.

Meanwhile I haven't even begun to think about what I want. I'll probably have a couple of pre-orders in with Hannants, see what Eduard are selling off at silly prices, and see what else is new. Probably need some paints, glues etc, but we shall see.

The only definite thing on the shopping list is some BSG hangar equipment from Cozmic Scale Models. I nearly bought some the other day, but then thought to check if they're at SMW and they are.

Other than that? Targets of opportunity...

Quote from: PR19_Kit on September 15, 2025, 09:34:42 AMI'm going to be looking for a deal on that monster Trumpeter WWI Monitor with the HUMUNGUOUS gun on the stern that only shoots sideways! It's decades since I built a ship model, but that one has really got to me. And I plan to Whiff it too.  ;D

Hehehe I like that idea.  ;D

But the Whiffing stuff I want to do with it is to scratch a proper turret for that 18" gun, just as it was on the Furious/Glorious.

Yes, I KNOW that the extra weight would probably sink the ship, but it'll look terrific!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

What about giving it some outriggers....  :dalek:

Hoping to make it, but it all hinges on whether I have a job by then or my house is sold. Both are looking positive at the moment but I've been in the position before so not getting my hopes up too much.
As to the shopping list, will be keeping an eye out for a MB Wellesley to add to the stash, the constant search for decent British Ordnance and a good dig around any second hand offers that may be out there because the stash must grow

Good luck with the job/house sale.

Regarding a Wellesley, I may be able to help you out.  Will PM later.

Well, the 11 September 2025 events that threatened to affect my Telford sojourn have gone away, so WILL be staying Saturday night as well.

Should we have a mini-theme/themes?  F.155T doesn't seem to want to go away, does it, Martin!
