Yep; it's just the 'little finishing touches' that seem to take the longest, when you can't find a couple of spare minutes to rub together...

Well I've managed to finish the Fw 190 D-15   Just got to edit the photos, draft a couple of words and then I'll get the pics etc posted.

Will be moving on with trying to get the Fw 187 and Il 2 finished next plus starting yet another Real World Spitifire, which will be a Malta based Mk V.

Next Wiff will likely be a Fairey Battle, thinking Danish ?

Danish Fairey Battle ? Just have to see if I have any Danish national markings ?

If not, I'm know I have somewhere.  Probably from a Spitfire, so possibly too small for a Battle. Just let me know.

What did the Danes do to deserve that?   ;)

The advert said  "Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good cakes"  We can safely add to that  "Chris makes exceedingly good models"    Well done, it's a beauty!

Cheers Lee   I think I've got some from a pre-war multi task bi-plane, but I'll let you know prior to Northern if not

Blame Tom. I saw his Dutch one and it sowed a thought in my mind. And yes I will be copying the spinner.

Danish Fairey Battle???? Utter fantasy!
And then you have the gall to blame me?
When I just built a model of the Dutch battle which of course is completely realistic.
Everyone knows the Danes bought the Junkers Stuka instead!

Managed to make a start on my next project, which will be a real world Spitfire Mk V. I'm going to build one of the Malta based Spits' in the Mediterranean "Blues" scheme.

I say "make a start". I basicaly removed the unused parts from the Sprues, backed up the fuselage exhaust "holes" so the nicely printed resin ones won't fall through and marked up all those parts that will need interior green as I'm trying to be a little more disciplined/methodical in my approach

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Quote from: PR19_Kit on March 28, 2026, 06:51:08 AMWhich kit are you using Chris?

The Recent KP Spitfire Mk VB "Over Malta" boxing, Kit. It comes with masks and resin exhausts (2 types) and 3 Malta based markings options. Their Spitfires, like their 109's, are nice little kits.

It's had some interior green splashed over it where needed, so hopefully more work on the interior tomorrow. I'm at a 60th wedding anniversary bash today.

Also on going through my "National Markings" transfer collection I find I do have some Danish national markings for the Battle
