Which 'Interior Green' are you using Chris? I've tried my fave Hataka paint, but it's not as 'yellow' as I thought it should be, so mixed my own for the PR1C, and I'm not at all sure it's right. :(

I'll be going back to the Humbrol interior green when my current Xtracrylic runs out.  Although there's an AK colour that's supposed to be good, according to one guy on Britmodeller.

Still got some Xtracrylic left Kit, so I'm using that. I've not tried my Hataka yet, but will use it on my next build in order to compare the two and report back.

Must admit I've never thought of Interio Green having a yellowish tinge ? Always been a shade of green/gey to my mind, but then we all see colours differently.

RAF Interior Green

Here you are Kit, a shot of the 4 paint shades in my collection.

The Xtracrylic is the one I'm used to and is perhaps the dirty'ist of them ? The Hataka and Humbrol 78 are similar and are a bit greener ? However they are all fairly similar. The AK is from their range of pens which on the whole are very good. However some of their RAF colours, and this is one of them in my view, are a bit off. Possibly because they use FS equivalents rather than BS standards ? They might be useful for hi-lights, but it's a bit too light to my eyes.

Anyway colour reproduction on line can be a bit iffy, so if you want to have a good look, PM me your address and I'll pop it into the post for you.

That's EXECLLENT, thanks Chris.

The Xtracrylic one looks closest to what I had in mind, but my Hataka Interior Green is NOTHING like yours, it's much darker grey in shade. Maybe I got the wrong one?

And I don't think my Humbrol 'Interior Green' is the same as yours either. I DO wish Humbrol would go back to putting the names on their bottles, and not just numbers!  :banghead:

The Humbrol above is an old enamel tinlet Kit. No idea if that's different from the current acrylic ?

Meanwhile some work continues on the KP Spitfire, still fiddling with the interior, which will disappear once assembled in all probability ?

Only problem is Kit that Hannants have had none in stock (along with a lot of their other RAF colours) for ages.

As far as the Spitfire is concerned I now have a completed airframe. Just a little work to do tidying up some seams and then I can start on the paint

I find these KP Spitfires, and their Me 109's, very enjoyable builds. They go together with an absolute minimum of hassle. Unfortunately the same can't be said of all their toolings/re-tools.

Just about got the Spitfire ready for paint   and then thought I'd have a minor re-adjustment of my modelling area, which turned into quite a major one   Oh well I fell better for it

On other matters was watching the Beeb's 6:00 pm News last night and started wondering what all this fuss over Artemis II is about ? Then remembered that I can remember Sputnik 1 : Gagarin : "One small step for man ...." and "Houston we have a problem" and then remembered I'm getting old

It's been a while since I watched a manned space launch live.  Took me right back.

Time was when it would have been splattered all over the headlines in 100 pt! They hardly mentioned it y'day, what has the world come to? :(

Well the Spitfire's primed   Only issue is that it's obviously on a mission to replace the Carpet Monster, it's manage to eat 3 gunsights. I know it swallowed them but I can't even hear them rattling around inside her  :banghead:

Some good news   The Spitfire has had her underside painted in Azure Blue. Gorgeous colour

Bad news  :banghead:  I made a right pig's ear of her canopy  :banghead:

I believe Kit has one of two to spare - or did have.  ;)
