The yellow-red twin engined amphibian is a Canadair CL-415, as kitted by Heller.  ;D

Dunno about the yellow one for sure, but it looks a bit like an Air Tractor 502.

Just a moment ago, an Osprey thundered over our house in north Herefordshire.  I didn't actually see it (Rheged minor identified it as he could see)  but it was so low I did see the reflection of its flashing anti-collision lights in the windows of the building opposite.   I wonder if it was playing the same game as the helicopter in the BBC report below?

An Avanti landed right near where I was working today at YYC, and I also saw something I've not seen before, an Airbus A319 Business Jet or Private Jet, which appropriately parked on Million Air's ramp.

Seems to be the season for low-level antics.  A Pilatus PC-9 flew low(ish) over my house this morning.  Not seen but definitely heard!

I was in Grosmont Castle on the Welsh Borders last month when someone said "what's that odd thing flying?". I looked through the ruins and identified it as a V-22 Osprey heading south. They must be based somewhere in the area.

I went past the former RAF Credenhill that week but nothing to be seen. My grandad was trained there during WW2. Didn't dare stop in case the current residents wanted to ask me some questions....

I knew someone would know, thanks, Kit!

A lone Red Arrows Hawk flying by the Humber, followed a while later by a black one.

Shortly after, saw a seal in the distance, wouldn't have spotted it if it hadn't moved.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Forgot to mention, last week a Bell 47 was chugging along Black Horse Pike, heading east at about a hundred or so feet up.

More KC2 Voyager activity at YYC (they get a lot of use don't they), the Brit Army must be doing another Suffield rotation. The one I saw take off yesterday had a red fin flash with what looked like 50 in white. But it wasn't quite visible to really say what it was.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Osprey again, a juvenile perched in the top of a neighbours big Douglas Fir

We live 30min drive from RNZAF Base Ohakea, the main flying location for our air force, and a regular sound and sight over our house is the Historic Flight's Harvard. Sadly she had a belly landing a few days ago. Thankfully the crew are okay, but last year she came out of a 3.5yr refurb. I hope the next one doesn't take as long!

Did you offer to go over there and repaint it in red, blue or yellow for them?  ;) ;D
