Ah, The Two Georges (by Harry Turtledove and Richard Dreyfus) GB

Had to Google that, scoots, unaware of it but yeah that'd fit perfectly!

If you can find a copy of it, it's quite an interesting read.

75 years on - the Korean War 1950 - 53? Plenty of scope for land, sea & air.

Based on current chatter here, Hovercraft!  I was kind of obsessed With them as a kid and could easily get there again.  And we could all compare notes on how to model the skirts!

I'd go for that too, but there's so VERY few kits of them about.

Although there seems to be a lot more than I actually guessed at, the only ones I've SEEN are the Airfix SRN4 and the two scales of Trumpeter's LCAC, all of which I have, luckly.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

SPY CRAFT Any air, land, sea, submersible, or exoatmospheric craft that is in the employ of a spy agency. Thinking about a Royal Dutch Navy submarine covertly tapping the Trans Atlantic cables? An Air Duetchland trimotor carrying "relief supplies" in Africa? A Cunard liner unleashing industrial spies in every port? A DHL delivery truck conducting covert signal intelligence gathering? The sky (and your imagination) is the limit.

I didn't even KNOW about it until I saw it on Scalemates.  :-\

At 1/35 that's got to be quite large, and I rather like the idea of it, but I bet it's pricey. I'm not even sure they sell it in the UK...................

[Later] Yeah, it IS pricey, but it's BIG! £86 in UK pounds, but somehow that seems reasonable for that thing........Hmmmmmmm..........

As to size, this pic is with the hull (minus skirts) next to my two PBRs & the mat squares are 1cm x 1cm.

So make it Hovercraft, Ekranoplans, Hydrofoils, Hydroplanes and any other surface skimming vehicles the entrants fertile mind can come up with.

Alternatively, simply call it Surface-skimming vehicles

As long as a limited amount of surface piercing is allowed as I would like to try to scratchbuild a hydroplane.   ;D
