KP 1/72 HS-125 Dominie prototype boxing

How good is the MB-339? Not seen one of these in the flesh so to speak.

Interesting Chris. Where did you get it?

I got it from Lost British projects on Facebook, they do a lot of interesting stuff in any scale you want. It's going to need a lot of work, and it doesn't have a clear canopy unfortunately, and it is quite textured, hence the lots of work. I was advised to get some 3D print coating epoxy resin which will smooth it all out, as sanding can cause problems.

I got one too, and Chris is quite correct about the work involved if you want a perfect finish. My Supermarine 545 Superswift https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=54238.msg1090569#msg1090569 was a LBP model

Maybe knifing putty, a type of fine car filler, would work. Very good for small detail work, quite malleable and easy to spread.

I have some knifing putty, and I think it will be too thick for the kind of work it will need to do. I am also thinking of filler primer, sprayed on, if there is a very fine version available.

AK Interactive and Mr Hobby both do such things; others may also be available depending on how you search the internet.

Found an Airfix HS/BAe Nimrod R/MR on eBay for less than £60.
Hawkrod lives on !

Also bought from eBay all in /72 scale:

Heller Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star

AIM Transport Wings the Rolls-Royce Dart turboprops for the Vickers Viscount and the SLAR pod set.

Allison turboprop engine conversion set for the Convair 580 series.

Another bargain on eBay the Academy 1/72 Martin PBM-5A Mariner. Hopefully this will be better than the Mach2 model kit but it also has issues with the wings and front gun turret.

Hicote do filler primer, about £7 a can. It's decent stuff, I used it on the Contrail Ju 390. Try your nearest branch of The Range or any automotive supply shop as the latter will usually carry some Hicote paints.  Failing that, get several cans of really cheap primer from Poundland, built it up and sand back.

It sure is good, I've been using it since Halfords did their 'upgrade', and the Hycote stuff is a little bit pricier than Halfords was, but now it's cheaper, per volume anyway.
