Good scores!
Interesting about the 'McDonnell' on the Gemini - before the merger?

Found a few remaindered Aeromaster paints (acrylic and enamel) when I was in Christchurch, and at $3 a pop it would have been rude not to; so 5 came home with me.
I should have got more, but there was a time constraint... isn't it always the way? Still, I'm happy with wot I got.

That's an oldie. Should be fun. There is a build thread over on Britmodeller showing the various issues to avoid  :-X

Kingston Cycles of Hull closed in 2019. That price sticker must go back to when the kit was released in that box in 1982.

Mossie

Yep, pretty much, I think my friend bought it from there a long tie ago. I'll ask him, but when I get a chance I'll check the box as he often writes the purchase date in.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Literally just received from Jadlam on a pre-order from last year

1 x 1/72 Tamiya 95 Grumman F-14D Tomcat. It's a large box which is just about full, and includes a small screwdriver and two very small screws!

I think we need a proper photo of the box content laid out on a desk.  ;)

It will need a larger area than that!

Quote from: NARSES2 on January 17, 2026, 04:41:30 AMI hope it was £5.99p not £599  ;)

I thought it said £59.99 and he'd spent a lot on me!

I have a bit of a joke that his modelling lamp looks like a Gemini capsule.

OK @Pellson  here are photographs of the last two F-14 kits I have bought.

The Tamiya one along with the G.W.H. kit. That is an Airfix Meteor F. Mk8 in this and subsequent pictures as I don't have a banana for scale.

Box contents: First up the G.W.H. kit.

Second, the Tamyia kit.

They both look as complex as each other.

I thought you had a Scale Reference Cat on hand?  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

He was out at the time. I don't see him very often as he works nights and doesn't always work from home, so he is kipping in other lodgings most of the time. He is home at the moment, will probably want out about ten or eleven tonight, with no idea of when he is returning.
