Can not wait to get this   ;D
Ok this is a strange one for you guys ,,but it's from me so that's to be expected ..I brought this of our auction site here called Trademe ... then this morning i received an email saying the trader had cancelled the trade and i've been refunded the money ..am i pissed off ?? you bet i am ... this dude got a dan nasty feedback i can tell you and i've even contacted Trademe to tell them what happened .. seems i'm not the only one with issues with this seller and i'll bet serious money the seller is getting these from China and something went to pot which means they were never here in the first place ..so to make myself feel ever so slightly less pissed off i got this instead .
Zimi Model 1:35 scale US Navy 40 mm Quad Bofors AA Gun ...this i know i'll get cause i've dealt with this seller many times in the past .

That's why I only post what arrives. I have had a similar problem only a couple of times, both times were when the seller had lost track of their stock, so I had been sold something that wasn't there. Once I received the wrong kit, mine had ended up swapped with someone else's kit.  :-\

These will also become part of the convoy.  Probly after getting head transplants.  I have other drivers already but they are all sitting on the wrong side of the vehicles.  I think the woman is meant to be Princess Elizabeth.

Almost certainly meant to be The Princess. The thing wrong with those figures is that there's not a fag or a mug of tea in sight. Especially on the one leaning against the side of a truck  ;)  ;D

My cast iron "don't-jinx-it" rule is that I NEVER announce a new acquisition on this thread until I've literally got it in my hands.

Quote from: zenrat on January 12, 2026, 02:21:34 AMThis was added as i've always liked the look of Connies.  It's the Minicraft moulds and can be built with the hump and the beer belly as a Warning Star or without them as a Batcat.

I mean, who doesn't?

I've got one of those and several Minicraft KC-97s. My idea was to swap the AEW radomes onto a Stratotanker and the refuelling gear onto the Connie. Turns out the Stratotanker would need some radical adjustments to it's undercarriage to generate the neccessary gound clearance though...

Arrived today and very quickly from the bay of E. Three special hobby mirage 3's, in 1/72 scale, complete minus the weapons and some of the pylons, and no decals. Not a problem to me, especially when I won them for a smidgen under £13.50. I have had a root through my mirage bits box, and I have LOTS of pylons, and an massive choice of weaponry, seen as they will no doubt belong to Honduras, they will have a mixed bag of US and French ordnance fitted.

Well, they do come without life jackets (I mentioned this in the first post, too).

I'm leaning towards leaving off the lumps.  I mean how can I not build something called a "Batcat"?  They were routinely painted in SEA camo.  They look great.

I'm with you there mate.  I believe that fate should not be tempted.  Y'all can do what you like but I won't risk putting The Mozz on my purchase.
We have a very strong rule at work.  You never ever say out loud something like "its quiet today" as if you do a hundred strong mixed crowd of parents, each waving badly filled out passport applications for all their six kids, and pensioners wanting to send big boxes of gifts to the US will immediately storm the post office and the queue will hit the door.

I got sent an e-mail from BNA last week.  I liked the look of what they were selling so much I immediately hit buy.

I've built the 1/35 Meng and liked the idea of a 1/72 example.  Given its by Takom I was expecting the worst WRT parts breakdown but a quick look shows it could be worse - tracks and running gear are all moulded in one (I really was expecting individual links) while both the body and the cab are 3d printed items.

All the Takom 1/72nd stuff I've had a chance to look at seemed really nice. My problem with most of it was that it was hideously expensive.

Not hideous.  But not cheap.  But it did hit the "I want one" region of my brain.

I have built their FV 432 and chieftain combo, as they were on offer somewhere, and wanted one of each for my Uranium mine build thread. They were a bit tricky to build, so took my time with them, but nowhere near as PITA the Centurion mk5 I built was, I think it was a  Vespid kit.
