Nice find Mossie

Meanwhile from the Big H. I needed a masking set for my Azur Martin Type 166 (have you seen the glazing on this thing ?  :o ) and I couldn't let it travel all that way on its own in the current weather  . So to keep it company I added a couple of kits :-

KP 1/72 Ilyushin Il-2 'Interim Gunner's Station' Stormovik. Why ? Because I've never built one.

KP 1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vb 'Over Malta' re-release, Hi-tech ... Why ? I wanted to see what their "Hi-tech" additions are like plus I really like one of the schemes in the box.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I like the look of the Shturmovik.  I have the Tamiya kit which has the longer canopy.  I might have to get one of these to go with it.

Just looked this up on ScaleMates.

Apparently it started life as a Smer "High Tech" kit (pilot-only early version) but what amused me was the following image from a Mister Craft release from 2021;

A couple of tiny container kits from C-Scale, THE container people for UK modellers.

They're N Gauge 20 footers, which means they're 1/148 scale, close enough to 1/144 not to matter. Part of them are destined for my BH8 Warwick hovercraft build as auxiliary deck cargo to support the REAL deck cargo..............  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Mum got a Rolife Shop card kit for Christmas so I went into Hobbycraft to pick up a decent pair of scissors.

On the way through I grabbed the Academy EA-18G Hornet at half price, just £15.

Ok this is a strange one for you guys ,,but it's from me so that's to be expected ..I brought this of our auction site here called Trademe ... then this morning i received an email saying the trader had cancelled the trade and i've been refunded the money ..am i pissed off ?? you bet i am ... this dude got a dan nasty feedback i can tell you and i've even contacted Trademe to tell them what happened .. seems i'm not the only one with issues with this seller and i'll bet serious money the seller is getting these from China and something went to pot which means they were never here in the first place ..so to make myself feel ever so slightly less pissed off i got this instead .
Zimi Model 1:35 scale US Navy 40 mm Quad Bofors AA Gun ...this i know i'll get cause i've dealt with this seller many times in the past .

I got a gift voucher for my birthday back end of last year which I spent just after xmas.
The goodies arrived from Metro Hobbies today.

This is to become part of the "Lost World" convoy.  I can't believe how many small parts there are.  All on small sprues.  Got me wondering if Gecko are limited by the size of their injection moulding machines and that controls their parts breakdown.

These will also become part of the convoy.  Probly after getting head transplants.  I have other drivers already but they are all sitting on the wrong side of the vehicles.  I think the woman is meant to be Princess Elizabeth.

This was added as i've always liked the look of Connies.  It's the Minicraft moulds and can be built with the hump and the beer belly as a Warning Star or without them as a Batcat.

wasn't there a military variant of the Connie that only has the underfuselage radome? used only in Vietnam?
