The 'true story' of the Cammer engine, very interesting it is too.

Thanks for that Kit.  Took me down a rabbit hole following links to Mickey Thompsons wacky engines.

En route:

2 x Black Ops 1/35 Pallets - Standard ISO Size [10pcs] (BOM5037) - for when I get around to repairing & re-working my HMBLT
3 x Black Ops 1/35 Stryker ICV Wheel and Tyre Detailed Set for AFV Club M1126  (BOM4014) - has spare wheels, don't get that with most Stryker wheel sets
1 x Brengun 1/72 Letov S-16 Bomber and Reconnaissance (BRE-BRP72017) - it's Czech, so I have to have it, & doesn't come in 1/48
1 x Hauler 1/35 Valve Hand Wheels (HAU-HLU35074) - useful for all sorts of things
1 x Hauler 1/35 Engraved Plate-German Grill Type [PE total dim. 100x50mm] (HAU-HLU35005) - useful for all sorts of things
1 x Hauler 1/35 Engraved Plate-US Grill Type [PE total dim. 100x50mm] (HAU-HLU35007) - useful for all sorts of things
1 x Aires 1/48 Curtiss P-40M Kittyhawk Wheel Bay for HobbyBoss kits (AIR 4602) - well, I have a new copy of the kit, may as well do the same to this as to the previous
1 x Aires 1/48 US. R-1820 Cyclone Radial Engine (AIR 4166) - actually wanted at least 2 of these but they only had one, so put in another notification order for 2 more
1 x Aires 1/48 A-7 Corsair II Wheel Bay for HobbyBoss kit (AIR 4468) - I want 2 of these but they only had one, so a notification order has gone in for another set

At a localish indoor market and looks like somebody is doing a stash clearance there. I did not get much, but acting as a personal shopper for a buddy, he got a few.
Prices ranged from good, Aud  $15 for a new release 1/72 Beaufighter to highish for some stuff,  but mostly in the ok for the venue format mark.
So for my stash extension,
Got another Airfix Angel Interceptor. The price was on the upper end, but not seen them for a while so did the "what the hell" purchase.

This is my third one of these, ranging from the original release back in my early teens, to two of these repops, one of which was a first class botch job, hence had to get another one. I do have a resin cockpit set I picked up at a Wonderfest USA some years back. They are just too cool. Although I do quite like the look of the Angel Interceptor of the CGI reboot as well.

Also a set of the Dragon 1/35 1st Cavalry Nam figures, the set with a "Colonel Kilgour" type figure.. for $10, why not.

Rick Lowe

The Dragon set is fun - If you're interested, the 'Cross of Iron' figure of Steiner is in the Eastern Front set and Captain Kransky is in the Berlin '45 Volksturm set.

I just got a couple of the boxes of old 70s Tamiya US infantry - the walking set and the Special Weapons sets... not the greatest, clunky and etc, but good conversion fodder.

Received this evening from KingKit

1 x 1/72 Hasegawa D16 U.S. Navy Fighter Blue Angels Tiger. Thanks to Thorvic for finding it for me, and to Nick for supplying most of another one.

That's GOT to be a rarity, I can't recall ever seeing that kit.  :-\

Not rare at all, KingKit had three when I bought this one.

The kit is OOP and has been released multiple times by Hasegawa in multiple guises as they normally do.

The one I built as a Folland wasp a few years ago was the Blue Angels version too. As said when I did mine, pay close attention to the arrestor hook as it is very close to the ground.

Moulded in dark blue.  I've got one of these and one of a slightly later Navy release moulded in grey(?).  Nice looking plane but what I really like is that one shot itself down.

Didn't a Crusader do that to itself too?

Fired its guns and then accelerated to fly into the stream of its own shells!  :banghead:

And what's the common factor in these two incidents?

(We really need that innocent whistling smiley. Please?!?)

On topic, I picked up the Hasegawa weapons pack VI from Hobbycraft of all places!
