Delivered today, both for future PoAF whiff projects:

1X Modelsvit 1/72 Mirage III EA/EBR
1X Hobby Boss 1/72 A-7K

You cannot view this attachment.

The Mirage almost became a reality back in the early 1970s and the PoAF operated the TA-7P, which were A-7A airframes converted into twin-seat trainers with an oxygen system in place of the two Colt cannons so, i wanna build an A-7KP... or should that be an A-7PK? ;)

I have both of those in the stash Rui, both of them nice looking kits in the box too.

Got two model kits today    ...one of them for free!  ;D
Model Empire hobby store in West Allis, WI is closing soon. Their last day is March 28.  :o
All the members in my local model club had to go over there today and get some of our completed models out of one of their display cases.
While there, I found a Churchill tank for $46 which I was able to get 40% off. Not too bad.
The T-14 Armata tank kit was free at my local model club meeting today.
Somebody brought in a bunch of kits that they didn't want and said they were all free. So I grabbed the T-14 Armata.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I have built that kit of the Armata, it went together OK, from what I can remember.

Rick Lowe

Received a sheet from OldModelsDecals for the 1/200 RNZAF Herk.

There aren't as many windows as there should be (a bit of a Theme with some of his sheets), but this time it's not an issue as I can use white glue and black acrylic paint to fill them.

Sadly, it's for the BO-RING all-grey scheme, but that's what the Brother-in-Law wants, so...

And a parcel from Ali today - I'll report back on the contents when I've had a peruse.

McColm

Ordered from eBay:
1/72 D-Day invasion stripes decals
1/72 AC-47 Spooky Gunship
1/72 Douglas DC-6B waterbomber

Just arrived in the post, yet another Phantom. This time an Italeri RF-4C/E in 72 scale. Had a look at it, and I will need to put a pair of twin sidewinder rails on it, and some missiles. The Fujimi one I have been building has self defence sidewinder, so this one is going to have them too.

I am aware that, like me, you are a fan of the Mirage family so that comes as no surprise, Chris.
The Modelsvit kits seem to be the best 1/72 Mirage III right now. There aren't as many options as there are in the High planes/PJ productions kits but the detail does look better.
I'm also waiting for the promised releases of the IAI Dagger, Atlas Cheetah variants and hoping they also do the Cheetah C.

I would like to see those brought out too, as I have the high planes cheetah single seater and the Pantera two seater of theirs, nice looking kits, but completely lacking in the stores department.

A pair of built 1/72 Frog Fairey Gannets 'spares or repair '. One will be used with the Magna Douglas Skyraider AEW.1 which entered service with the FAA in 1951. Replaced by the Fairey Gannet AEW.3 due to the shortage of parts.
I've got the 1/72 vacuform conversion set for the Gannet AEW.3 and the other Gannet will be used as part of the build.

Had time to kill after attending the physio prior to work, yesterday.

Dropped into the hobby shop nearby &, somehow, an AFV Club LVTP5 followed me home.

I don't think there's an interior in the kit. Have to look online to see if there's an AM option.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
