Do we have any plans laid for evening activities?

My club are planning meals etc and I need to make a choice.

Last year six of us got together in the hotel that OGL and Thorvic were staying in on the Saturday evening, I am also booked there this year.

It's a good place to meet but after the utter shambles of food service last time I would eat elsewhere.

Not an issue for me. Meeting up at the Mercure and heading out elseware is nothing new.....
I will look around and see whats about. Telford town center will be as busy as hell on the saturday night. so we may have to look a little further out if there is a load of us..
I always hope for the best.

We could get a taxi or two over to Wellington which is essentially old Telford - and has plenty of pubs and restaurants. Good curry houses there too.

Oakengates is a lot smaller - But the Crown Inn offers a superb range of beers, Kerala Lounge just round the corner wasn't bad.

Oh sure, now you tell me. I was under the impression that Telford was a 'new town' with about as much history as an F-35 without the noise. Bah, b*gger it, Shrewsbury has a pub that dates to about 1404, so if I get over again I'll go there.  ;D

Telford is most certainly a 'new town', you can tell by the number of roundabouts per square mile  ;D

I'm up for a pint and a curry
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Having missed last year's SMW (house move, sorting out mother-in-law's move into our house, other stuff), it seems an age since SMW 2023.  Really looking forward to this year's event.

Having a good rummage on the trader stands, admiring SIG and branch displays and checking out the competition are but part of the weekend.

Catching up with SIG/forum mates is the important thing.

Is anyone else entering the Whiff Class (32) otherwise known as 'The Mushroom', this year?

Roger Wallsgrove persuaded me to enter my Bv 148 this year, so I have.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
