George looks like he's snagged the most important spot in the house - typical Cat...

Either: that's a small heater, or
the camera has a funny lens, or
George is HUGE!...

Are you sure he doesn't have some Lynx or Puma in his DNA?

George says I like this spot as it is very warm.

He is deserting me this weekend. How will I cope?

Yes life with a cat is never dull just frustrating at times.

He has no wildcats in his DNA.

Last entry before Telford. Here packed away are this year's exhibits. The Seafire XV you have met before. The Martin Baker MB12 automatically gets a run out and just finished and upside down for easy transportation is the U2 for the USAF SIG.

My thanks to Kit for the F82 bits.

And now for dinner and sleep.

Day one of Scale Model World is proceeding nicely. Lots of people to see and say hello to, certainly lots to see. Finally managed to get a Hurricane IIC in quarter scale.

I can relate, and completely agree.  ;D

Well after it's all over the days following SMW can be a little surreal but after much napping it's back to the bench.

The extra Spitfire wings are from a Mark V kit which is fairly useful. One idea with my Spitfire modelling was to get a more wartime based one without the modern looking TR9 being involved. As some kits come with spare bits I should have left all the bits needed. This will allow more operational squadron markings to be carried. I haven't yet thought about armament.

The Hurricane IIC might get a modified paint scheme seemed on some 1/72 examples of real ones being delivered by air from Takoradi on West Africa in WW2 which saw white paint sprayed over parts of the real fuselage, tailplanes and spine.

The other Spitfires need time for the backstory to develop.

First rule of thumb is to remember to follow the instructions.

Guess who didn't?

The rack for my acrylic paint is now assembled after some seriously sweary words being uttered.

Only bought this on Saturday from Scautoman and very nicely the fuselage assembles too. Lightning P8 conversion kit in 1/72.

Is'nt the tail end on upside down?  🤞 it's a dry fitting.

Yeah, you'll need to turn the back end 180deg Trev

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The MB12 turned out great Trev mate ,, really like that
I'm having similar thoughts but using a couple of TA-152 R14's as the aircraft as those are easy to get and ive got two already ,,they thought already have plans chucked on em ,,but plans change  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

So I'm guessing it won't be a Twin-Lightning then?

Thanks. Means much here. I think a twin TA152 would work I would be very interested to see how you do the centre wings. A Bf110 tailplane might be useful for tail centre section. But be prepared to use lots of filler and compromise on surface finish where it can't be readily seen. The MB12 will be on display again next month.
