Quote from: Wardukw on November 23, 2025, 11:18:37 AMThe MB12 turned out great Trev mate ,, really like that
I'm having similar thoughts but using a couple of TA-152 R14's as the aircraft as those are easy to get and ive got two already ,,they thought already have plans chucked on em ,,but plans change  ;D

Thanks. Means much here. I think a twin TA152 would work I would be very interested to see how you do the centre wings. A Bf110 tailplane might be useful for tail centre section. But be prepared to use lots of filler and compromise on surface finish where it can't be readily seen. The MB12 will be on display again next month.
I've been thinking about the centre wing and i've an idea on how to sort that ,, FW190 wings  from a B or C model ,,joined as one then hacked and slashed to get the width and cord to match the TA152's wings ,,well as close as i can anyway as the Ta152 wings have a pretty good taper to em which i think will work in my favour ,,as long as the centre wing is as wide as the 152's are then it should pretty good ,,funny ya mentioned the Me110 ,, i've got plans for one of those  ;)  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

This is the Weserflug P1003 in 1/48 scale. For which it is or seems under scale. I'm pitching it as a single seat night recce aircraft perhaps replacing the Henschel Hs126. I did want to arm it but options were few, even for the nightfighter option in the kit upon which this scheme is derived from. Paint is mostly humbrol authentics and acrylic black. Just about to give it a coat of varnish.

George bless him not went rogue last night and damaged at least four models. But i still love him. Haven't dared to inspect the damage too closely but a 109, Hawk, U2 and the P1003 Weserflug all involved. He is barred from the den.  :banghead:

They all seem to do that from time to time*... I recall a Huey conversion that took an air test once... :banghead:  :-\

*Some of them on a more regular frequency than others...

These two are now finished bar some snagging. First is the 1/72 Arado E377 and then the Weserflug P1003 at 1/48. See them on Sunday at the Air Museum at the Coldest Model show on Earth 🌍

This afternoon at my bench.... It's rebuilding set of TSR2 main undercarriage with the use of some brass tube. Not as easy as it may look. The TSR2 has featured before under construction on my old blog  but it's still to be exhibited. Last chance to do so this Sunday at the Midland Air Museum Winter Show or the Coldest Model show on Earth.

Finally got them together, as the first attempt to get the decal sheet on the right ended up with the wrong one being included in the order I arranged to get at SMW2025 from Hannants. My 262 plans can now go ahead using these but with a few 'rearrangements' in colours used and placement.

#128
Finally it's nearly complete but my third TSR2, as a recce version serving with 31 Squadron RAF Germany c 1972 follows the last model I started in 2025 an Airfix Hurricane I. This will also be whiffed.

The TSR2 had been on the shelf of doom for a couple of years.

I have also dusted off a Revell Gannet that was partly started some years ago. The intention was to transplant the fuselage of a ID Models Gannet AEW3 this was before the Sword kit came out
but I lost interest. Its now going to be a general purpose coastal patrol aircraft in New Zealand service. Previously I had done a Gannet in Aeronavale markings many years ago. 90% of the nosewheel leg was
superglue.

Happy New Year to you all!

Arrived in the post a few hours ago were more bits for the  1/48 series I have started of Spitfires, Hurricanes, Me-262 and 109G. Spitfire exhausts, Spitfire TR9 etched brass, Me-262 A1a/U3 recce conversion and a AIMS correction set for the same variant. Recce addict me.

The first of the Hurricane series is drying off after a first session of  PSR. Aspects of the cockpit build were awful that framework that supports the seat and cockpit was fiddly beyond belief.

Anyhow club night tonight so time to see how others are getting on.

Calling this Hawker Hurricane finished bar some snagging that I can do tomorrow. See it for real at the Peterborough Show on Sunday. Scheme inspired by a RCAF Spitfire XIV.
