Interesting point for hovertank devotees: look how little it carries (max 8 dismounts + 2 .50cal MGs) for the size of it's hover platform and machinery:

Can't find it right now, but there's a picture on the internet somewhere of one of these with it's skirts completely blown off. The story is that an ARVN who was riding on the outside got sucked through the lift fan with a belt of grenades still on him... :o  :o  :o

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

It looks a lot less comfy than an SRN5. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Got 2 sets of  1/700 folded F4K phantoms off Dorset Print Man for CVA-01 and other RN Carriers i have in build.

Also ordered a pair of the new 1/700 HMS Euraylus Ikara Leanders yesterday when they came out. These will be real, one to be HMS Dido which Boltons ship.

PS Also news from Starling that they will be releasing the original gun Leander by the end of the year, so there will be a few of those picked up

I thought at first that was some sort of picnic table in the middle of that cabin! Christ, I'm getting old.

Exactly my thought as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Found a small box through the letter box when I got home containing the PT6 resin props and engine fronts for the Super Sealand, the ones which should have gone to my country home, but now I can get them on the model next week hopefully.

It's a holochess board like on the Falcon... ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

"Captain Hairy Pants" rather than "Captain Tight Pants"? The crossover we didn't know we needed.

Write it...

From Ebay:

Airfix 1/72nd Dogfight Double: Beaufighter TF.X + Fw 190A-8

The Beaufighter to be the final part of my great cross-kitting plan, the 190 is just gravy...

From ebay  part built Airfix 1/144 Shuttle kit in a HUGE box! Destined to be a parts source for my Sci-Fi GB entry, if it's not TOO big.

Even in 1/144 the fuel tank is about the size of a Coke bottle!  :o
