Quote from: zenrat on April 22, 2025, 04:01:51 AMNo progress today.  Took Mrs z for a chemo infusion.  That's 2 out of 8.

Hope Mrs z's doing OK, Fred!

Mrs W was getting double-tapped for the first round - pretty-much all day Fridays & a half-day Saturdays, every month - &, although she tried not to admit it, she felt like death warmed up by the end of each session.

At least she didn't suffer hair loss & it did what was written on the box top.

She's doing good.  Side effects of the chemo appear fairly mild but we are aware they may build up.
We are also aware that her regime is a lot easier than some and are grateful for that.
We are told there will be no hair loss although it may get thinner.

Definitely keep an eye on cumulative treatment side effects.  Back in my days of being an EMT, chemo patients would slowly get bother weaker and more lethargic as their treatments wound on.

My half-sister and stepfather both had chemotherapy at the same time. Unfortunately my half-sister lost her her due to the treatment, so I shaved my head so there wasn't any embarrassment. They both complained about the taste of food and water tasting tinny, it used to take four days for the treatment to wear off.
They both got the all clear, so I hope that the treatment goes well.

Best wishes from family  Rheged to your good lady and from my Bridget to you, as fellow spouses of cancer patients,  her support and  a (long distance) hug.

Thank you all.

Hammered down with rain today which flowed through my shed (as it does occasionally- it's all prepared for this.  Everything either up off the floor or on waterproof boxes).
When this happens the increased humidity causes all the rigging on the Sea With to sag.  Which is irritating (especially as I was gluing on some more ratlines) and doesn't bode well for its final resting place which has recently changed from Gippsland to Thailand.
It might need to be installed in a sealed display case packed with silica gel.

Northrop Delta now has two wings and one stab attached.  For a limited run Special Hobby kit it's going together well.  Fit is acceptable.  They really are getting better.

I also prepped and primed the body of a Revell '66 Chevelle four door wagon, prepped and primed the chassis and interior tub of the Nissan Elgrand, and continued painting "wood" on the relevant parts of the Ford Woody glazing.

Thanks Bud.

I've been putting transfers onto the Nissan van.  Big ones.  Bikini girls from a Hasegawa VW kit.  Lashings of Micro Sol to get them to snuggle down into all the body contours.  They are fighting me but I have a lot more solvent...

If they're fighting you is mud or jello involved?
