i have been getting the painted street violence figures out, so i can match them with the recently acquired 2nd hand ones
this involved a deep dive through the storage  cases, but i have got them,  and it seems that ive a few more than i thought, ive a couple of extra singles and a full double pack of one set.  So some conversion work will certainly be in evidence,  Ive also found the  3 security guards that i have a copy of , the  2nd hand ones dont have the ground mount smartguns, but will round out the numbers well

And there is the reason for using physical books, rather than having multiple tabs open on a laptop...

Yessir!!
its why i have the problem that the reference book shelf's are full, and im still acquiring material, admittedly its having to concentrate a bit more,  But its still growing.  :o  ;D

I often find that good reference books, i.e books that describe context and doesn't only give photos, sometimes give me more over time than the actual model for which I originally bought the book. I learn from them, and given the state of my memory, I can learn again and again. And again.  ;)

Pellson, i know that feeling,  and as some one once said  " if I got any more forgetful, I could organise my own surprise party"

I've got a lot of Putnam's on the shelves and still find them extremely useful and far easier than the Internet to navigate when I just want a quick answer to a particular question in my brain. I often end up browsing them though  ;D

dozer blade time
i have managed to cut the flap that sits on top of the blade from the pour sprue,  i have then had to superglue the rail that runs along it back on as it has separated  :banghead:
this is not uncommon with me and delicate resin parts,  ( long term readers will remember me having to bodge together the fins on the cruse missile  many posts ago),  so wile thats setting again, im breathing slowly and typing  ;D

the street violence mercenary's have had  some alternative weapons found out, and added to the pack. I will be slowly going through the other packs to do the same.

( edit of flag ?  to Flap to actually make some sense.  Sorry for that )

wile i ( slowly and carefully) removing pour subs from the main dozer blade casting, I am doing other bits as well.
The fuel / chemical tank is together piper and had 3 tubular bits of sprue added as intake / outlet piping, some bits stuck on top to break up the silhouette a little,  now with grey primer on it im starting to add black paint,  it will get some very dark grey and metallic sponged on so give it a more used look.
Also undercoated are the 4 Ground Zero Games demoness figures i had in the paint stripper, i will have to try to find the ones i already have done so i can match colours / style.

blade has had the pour stubs removed,    managed not to snap too may other bits off wile doing so
the flap has been attached as well so am now letting that cure.

the chemical tank is done and will need varnish later, as will the security guards, so my complete count will be climbing presently.  but only when done.

given the size of the pile of potential its not a huge worry     i could clear approx 3 dozen kits in 1:48 and 1:35 and still not clear the modelling room ( im not counting anything in the loft for this    ) and there are easily several hundred 28mm figures i could do the same with and probably not make a massive dent in the lead pile as well   :banghead:
I have plenty to keep me busy,    and there is a wargames table top coming up in may in Bristol that i can go to and pick up some more stuff as well if needed.

in assembly news
the street violence mercs are getting some work,   https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collections/street-violence/products/sv014-mercenary-fire-team
the armbrust/mp5k  figure has had the mp5k removed and a large auto pistol added and pinned in place,
the single mp5 figure has had a backpack added,
the AUG armed figure has had a head swap with one of my spare gripping beast beret heads from the MOFO/ Falklands war range

It will hopefully give enough difference to break them up a little,

ill ask here in the hope that more experienced armour modellers than my self can answer

how all the kamis and heavens do you assemble the accurate armour chieftain dozer blade,?

i seem to need multiple sets of arms to position and fit parts as they are all free running and dont like to dry fit,  i need x-ray vision as they seem to consistently interfere with each other ,   and a block of blue tac bigger than the blade to hold in place wile i try to get things matched on the mirror parks.

at this rate it will go back in the box, till i have a lot more time and enthusiasm  :banghead:

the 5 mercenarys are done, ive also added basing to the 7 that were already painted, ( when they were originally painted i wasn't certain on what base style i was going to use so they were all still on bare plastic card )

86 figures   4 pieces of scenery.

ive used a couple of old credit card sized membership cards to make a small bus stop style bit of scatter scenery as well, scrap card tube and MDF building off cuts for a couple of benches,  so that will get primed when the mercs get varnished a little latter

Ive also managed to locate my parker vector calligraphy set as well, which means i can swap out the nibs on one of the fountain pens and hopefully get it working again for making notes.

So your mercanaries are going to be getting the bus to wherever they have a contract ?  ;)
