the above are varnished
ive managed to get some stuff moved round and repacked,  my GW space Vikings mix of space wolfs and sisters of battle have been put in a single really useful box and up in the loft, it was more than i thought, but not a problem ( just)   another box was my 2nd ed copy of warhammer battles and a few books.
im now cutting hexagons out of some 20mm thick foam to act as a base / stand for the GZG ships,  its slow going as i have to use an extending knife, and then have to ensure that the hole is vertical, dosnt taper on any of the sides and will still allow said base to be manipulated.  so cut  / test/ cut/ test / fettle.

He forgot "/ test / swear" at the end of that.

i would have added  say " Badgers!!" at the end, but i was going slowly and doing it in between other things, so invective wasn't needed.   ;D
i f i could get a hexagonal cutter in the right size it would have been much quicker, but possibly far more dangerous.
still its done and things are packed and on the shelf's in labelled boxes now, so i can get on with painting again.

added a bit more on the GZG figs, its slow as i haven't got a huge amount of mojo, and they are fine 25mm figs, so its a lot more concentration compared to the beefy 28mm from GW or other company's.  But all i need to do is a bit here and there on 3 figures a time and they will go fast enough.

with the Aldersly ( WMMS) show not running this year  the next show coming up may well be the Avon show, and after that IPMS, so with any luck i can actually reduce the pile of potential,  ( i may even get somewhere)

main colours are on the GZG figs, and the black / brown ink wash is drying,
Ive got 2 .50 Brownings from the Tamiya US weapon pack,  Ive not noticed before, but the tripods for the browning and the recoilless rifle are multi part legs, and there are small depressions in the main sprue to allow them to be assembled. clever and elegant     The ammo cans and belts have been removed as well, an i think ive a bit of random sprue i can file / sand flat to get a good enough stand as well.

GZG figs are painted, ive got a scrape of polyfilla from the edge of the 2p piece to the figure base to even it up a bit otherwise there was rather a step, that can dry overnight and hopefully i can get some mud paint and flock on, so not to long till finished.

figures are now varnished, so happy on that.  ;D
ive done a bit of cleaning round the desk, and found some old ( unused) tea bags i had put aside as they were past getting on a bit and now tasting good, cut open and added to the flock tub, so thats topped up again
transferred the marge tub of scrap and off cuts of white metal into an ex fast food tub as the marge tub was starting to crack, done the same with the 2mm scale ballast, had a dust on the window sill they were sat on, the sort of little jobs that put off as they are more time moving stuff round than doing the actual job.  so productive.

also noted from the rumour section on britmodeler that the Trumpeter catalogue has a 1:48 Vulcan for 2027 release.    if that is released i will want one, storage, cost and display space are of coarse things to be thought a bought at another time   :banghead:
