started to get colour on to the Warrior, i want to get a coat of green on before i start adding tools and the Chobham  side skirts as they will block off easy access to some areas.
and if i do so i keep a little forward momentum

Always a good thing.

Except when you're at a Red Light or a Railway Crossing...  ;D

from the BBC site, implanted vision tech....
one step closer to the Ziess Nickons of cyberpunk and shadowrun.
i hope those fitted do well with them, and they keep improving the tech.

That's amazing, but how does the implant thingie get to translate its video signals to match what the brain is expecting?

That's the real breakthrough.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit   i have utterly no idea, :banghead:    if i did, id be doing important medical research right now
i ist saw the good new, and ran off to here to spread it  <_<   ;)

NARSES2

I saw that as well last night plus the extended piece on BBC Breakfast (Sally Nugent  ) and I also have no idea how the brain deals with it. However it does take a few months for the brain to start "seeing" anything other than "white light" and it took longer and intense concentration for the lady featured on the news to be able to read the bottom line of the eye chart   A truely amazing advance in medical science.

When I saw the piece I immediately thought of a mate of mine with the condition. He's probably too old, but you never know

able to get a bit more Warrior done,  Ive not had a lot of spare spoons for anything much for a few weeks.
but i keep trying.
I am also getting a list for Telford,
revell 1:48 beechcraft 18
Le Arasnal  1:350 harriers, sea harriers, bucs, and tonkas ( if they do them)  to add to a carrier
1:35 PIVAD and engineer M113 variants.
and a cheap 1:72 matchbox  A7 corsair 2   i want it for the small bombs mainly to be able to add to some warhammer 40000 space marines as 1 shot rockets,   i used the ones from a kit i had in the late 80s / early 90s and want to do a few more.  Its a case of i know that this kit had that shaped bomb and i want to match them.

Good luck finding a cheap Matchbox kit.  People seem to have begun collecting them for some reason.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

its the bombs im after, so  words like " cracked decals" or " missing transparencys " dont matter, and if i find one brill, if i dont its no great worry in the grand scheme of things.  ( insert shrug icon here)

The other kit ill be looking for is a cheap 1:48 Hustler, i know it exists, ive seem it a couple of times, but havent had the cash at the time, its again itll be nice to find but...

It's a tremendous IF, but if I can make it to Telford (and if I can find the kit in question) I might be able to help you with the Corsair bombs as I won't be using them on mine. Which day are you going on?

Thank you kindly,  at the moment i plan on attending both days,    And if you cant make it, no problems at all,

again adding bit, with the side additional skirts on is front mud guards, and now the pioneer tools, which are small, fiddly and just at the limit of what i can easily manipulate with my fingers,  especially as i want the pickaxe handles to be not just green,

ive had a quick shlep round  the Hannants and king kit sites for prices for what i want, some i think are ok, some are laughable,  with the Tamiya Chieftain kit being 18-25 quid, why anyone would think the Centurion kit is worth 50 is beyond me they are of the same era,  if one isnt currently being imported  meh!   other company's do far more modern production kits that are more, i know,  i have several of them of various types,  ( at least one of the Australian / Vietnam ones  and an AVRE , )  And having had a look at the current price of TSR-2s i also think that some people are having a laugh,  but if others are prepared to pay those prices, good on em   :banghead:   If we are near the same second hand stand as last year , if they have the same 3 or 4 TSRs on it i may well offer a steep discount and point out thats its at least the 2nd year theve brought them, and do they want to sell em or cart them home  again
Im not exactly looking for hens teeth, or unicorn horn,  and if they want to say no, welp they can always take em back unsold.  Heck evan if some one had the 1:35 Tracked Rapier kit there i aint paying what has been quoted in the past,  its north of £200 on ebay currently

Don't forget the "Rare!" "OOP!" and "Professionally painted!" tags things get given to justify bumping up the price despite the item being clearly anything but!
"If you've never seen an elephant ski, then you've never been on acid."

Steel Penguin

OOP i get, but most modern kits are only that due to company's switching through the production runs
Pro Painted is one that always makes me smile,   Any time you pay for it the person making the money is  a Pro, they are making money of the work.  It may not be exactly the definition most " Pro Painters" use  but any artist making money is Professional, I dont like the style of all pro musicians,   i dont like all painting styles, but if they have enough people who pay they can do the job professionally,    A bit wondering and philosophical, i know . But.

after reading Gondors comment on getting the cake baked for Telford this year ( you think i dont read most / nearly all the posts on here  )  I realise i must add the 2 important thing i will be bringing to the show.
Jaffa cakes and mini rolls.
Any one have allergy / intolerance and not be able to enjoy them ?   Please speak up so i can lay in some fruit as well  ( Apples and Bananas) .  I do, do healthy sometimes    :o
Must also get the Flask down to be bringing coffee, as i wasnt able to find any of the trolley people last year, and i really am not keen on the ques at the stands.
