the suspension arms are on on one side, The kit has a handy little tool that allows you to set the arms at the correct height each time.    a really clever idea,  the turret is coming together, the co-axial MG  is a tiny little part that i can see pinging off if you arnt careful removing from the sprue, and then being very easy to loose once removed,  Airfix provide 2 on the sprue ( i add i only needed one, but appreciate the forethought).
at a few parts a day, this will take a wile, but. it means that i dont have to worry regarding rushing, or deadlines.  ;D

i was going to glue tonight... however  i am full of cold currently , and have enough trouble thinking straight, going anywhere near tools is probably a bad idea.
hopefully tomorrow.

inner roadwheels on
the 2 parts that represent the track are on the sprocket and rear return wheel, and the top part of the track run is on one side,  i admit it goes together quite well,  not exactly "snap together " but very little fiddling needed.  YAY

A good reason for a 'YAY'.

both sides have full track runs, and im starting to add more to the outside, lifting and towing eyes, storage boxs, and all the lumps and bums that give the detail. again some good design here as well,

the stowage box on the rear ( see above pic,,  thank you MOD )
is 4 parts the piece that attaches to the hull  has a lip all round it and 2 c shapes on the inner  of the box face,  the 2 parts that make up the walls are L shaped have a matching lip and a deliberate web  between the insides of the L  so they sit on the back plate and have plenty of area for the glue to bond, and the 90deg corner of the L is reinforced, and then the exterior plate has the same c shapes to give a good strong fit.    <_<
I wonder if the hull parts are at the edge of materials capability, and thats why I had the problem with the hull bottom, to be able to give the interior detail it had to be 2 parts.....
I may have to button hole the Airfix staff at Telford and ask, and also give a positive thank you, the kit is rather more than it could have been

'Lumps and Bums' are good detail...

That's getting VERY close to 'Book Time'.................  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sorry gentle folk  i meant  Lumps and Bumps,  as apparently i didn't pick up the mistake on the read through before posting, or on the first 2 or 3 reads of Ricks post...  I knew what i meant, and i was certain id typed it correctly.
DoH!!  :banghead:  to quote Homer Simpson....

Definately do so. They don't get to many "thank yous"

Agree - we are all too quick to criticize, but lacking when giving kudos.
