even using my normal Tamiya paints cleaning the revel one took a wile,  possibly it was the first couple of serious times id used it  :-\
its also with doing mostly 28mm wargames figures, i dont have a lot of practice, so it didnt become second nature....
i admit that what more experienced folks can do is wonderful to see, but ive not had the time / models/ need to build up that,  looking back up the blog at my completion total for this and previous years shows me that.

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

My (single action) Pasche comes apart in seconds.  One allen key is the only tool needed.
I resisted buying it for years.  I was convinced I could get buy with rattle cans and hairy sticks.
I was wrong.  Wouldn't be without it now.

I did have one of the 1st Gen Tamiya Sprayworks, but the faff I put myself through, disassembling it after every colour put me off.
When I went to use it again a while ago I found the tubing had developed some sort of oily seepage in it, and I just put it away again...

But I did use it for a while; not sure if I got my moneys' worth or not, though...

got a few more parts of the car together and painted, i admit its rather a fun build, the parts fit well ( so far) and clean up easily as well
im going for a colour set sorta close to the box,  ice diamond white main, metallic gold and metallic blue for the outermost body pods, and a nice gark blue for the other blue bits,   itll probably   take a couple of coats of the blue,  but i have time.  ;D

car is together, i now have to try to finagle the canopy,  ive the back of an airfix 1:48 sea harrier, the bubble version of the 1:48 F19 stealth fighter, and ill have to have a scrabble through the spares box..  Mrs SP suggested a convertible, and when i replied with  using a roll of cling film,, said that bright fabric would be better  <_<
decals will be tomorrow, the few from the kit then ittl be a dive into the stash, see if i have any that would stand for sponsors.

Got any Weyland-Yutani or suchlike?  ;)

Steel Penguin

alas no...
nor do i have and BR ones,     most of my sticker stash is ex AFVs and Jets,  with a few games workshop sci fi ones.  but i can have a good look,  i think i still have some from a Tamaiya motor bike that were given to me 35-40 years ago, that were good when i last used a bit of them.
i may have some TSR 2 codes that would look good as race numbers...  :o

minimal decaling,
Yamaha on the top of the pods, ( covers a unfortunate fingerprint)  Tamiya motorbike aprox 40 years old,
light blue 20 on the front wing, Airfix 1:48 TSR-2  cut down serial
Red Danger arrow on the side of each pod,  heaven knows which manufacturer, but the decal sheet was from an Apache helo kit, again mutter years old

and that is finished,  if i wish to add things at a later date i can, but its easier to add than remove.

20 figures 12 pieces of scenery and 17 models

Putting transfers over blemishes is an old car modellers trick.

If all else fails, add a sponsor or two.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
