All I can tell you is that they keep saying the Shuttle kit is a new tool. Whether it is or not, we'll just have to see.

My prediction for their big SMW anouncement, since they're currently on a space kick, is a 1/144th scale Skylon.
I keep umming and ahhring about the 3D printed ones on Ebay: if I buy one, do you think that'll induce Sod's Law to make them actually do it?

1/72 Scimitar (Got to happen one day!)
1/72 Spitfire (because...Spitfire) I would say the Mk.I/IIa boxset could do with an airing, but equally the Mk.XIX could do with a retool.
1/72 RAF Liberator of some description
1/48 Gladiator
1/72 Lynx, they have one in 1/48 and seem to be on a bit of a helicopter kick at the moment.

Skylon?
Why would they waste their resources
on something so obscure? None were ever built and the average person isn't even aware the project existed. Space modelling is a small niche in a niche industry. Shuttle and Apollo kits sell due to familiarity, all of the other space subjects currently available are far to the rear of both of those in regards to sales. You'd likely see a model of Eejit Muppet's stupid '50s sci-fi flick lookalike shiny silver phallus "Starship" before you'll ever see Skylon.

Dear oh dear....................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Won't be a Lincoln.  They won't announce that until after I pay out for the Blackbird conversion set for the Airfix Lanc I already have.

Now we've got a Stolly, how about a Saracen?

The current boxing is a nice kit, and it's certainly the path they've taken in the past.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Putting out a 1/72 B-25J based on their current B-25B/C/D kit would be nice, too.

When I built the current boxing it was obviously designed to be re-kitted for the later version(s), so it's about time they did.

A Saracen is probably more "iconic", but maybe for politically incorrect reasons...

Airfix release for SMW? Maybe we could get them to release a Blackburn Beverley if we suggest that they include a disassembled Spitfire to fit in the cargo bay.   A trade-off, as it were.  ;D

1/48 Gladiator

Scimitar?  Lots of people wish for one but I very much doubt it'll ever happen.

RAF Liberator?  Yeah, it must simply be a matter of time.

1/48 Gladiator?  I can see that happenning at some point.  And maybe repop the 1/48 Fury to go with it.

A new 1/72 Canberra B.2/B.6 would be very welcome (at least by me) but I won't hold my breath.  A new-mould Lockheed Neptune is more likely (to me - scope for multiple versions if tooled appropriately) - the Hasegawa-originated kit is the only one I can think of in 1/72 and that's nigh on half a century old.

That would require a new fuselage. Along with moving the turret fwd the fuselage was deepened aft of the wing, this is what allowed for the side and tail gun positions.
The 75mm equipped B-25G is possible because it was just a conversion of the B-25C/D.
