This guy was flying by, as we were sat on the deck enjoying lunch.

He proceeded to bank around, turn on the smoke

Did a full circle above the house and then trundled away

I was sitting in a carpark by the beach this morning, enjoying a nice cup of coffee when an RAAF PC-9 came overhead.  One of the few times I've actually been able to see them, as they buzz around.  Sounded, as always like a chainsaw going flat out and flashed past.   Was under a thousand feet as well.
Enjoy it while it lasts - the first RAAF PC-21 made its maiden flight this week!

It will be 5-8 years before it gets into service, Kiwizac.

LOTS of GA stuff heading down the Severn, Cessnas, Pipers, singles, twins, the whole shebang. Maybe 12-15 of them one after the other all heading south west.  :o

Must be some event going on today and maybe over the weekend.

Or they know something we don't ?

Now THAT'S something I've been waiting years to see, tremendous stuff!

I just hope it works and at long last the airship will return to the skies.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I know, understand and sympathize with the economic arguments they are using, but still think it's unlikely to succeed. Nice to see her in the sunlight though.

I was running some errands in town on Tuesday and I heard this NEEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW overpowering my headphones....turns out an ex-RNZAF Harvard popped into the local grass 'drome for lunch! Was lovely to see and hear in a place where the most exotic thing we get is the rescue chopper.

Seeing as they were able to buy it back from the US Army for $301,000 (a fraction of the hundreds of millions of US
tax dollars spent  :banghead: ), and have received millions from the UK gov and the EU, if they can't make a go of it,
I'm sure folk will be asking pointed questions.

BTW the US Army pulled out of the whole LEMV project because it was getting too expensive, so I have to wonder
about HAV's glowing predictions of commercial success.

Yup I read about all of that Jon in an article in one of our papers a while ago. It's one of the reasons I have severe doubts about it's viability. Sounds a great idea but there are just to many obstacles on so many grounds.
