While out in a park near Horsham, Southwater Park, I heard a strange noise......looking up I was amazed to see a Fokker Eindecker.....!!! Probably a replica. The thing looked so fragile as it wobbled along. Later in the same area I saw two of them. Got a pretty poor pic on my camera phone......I'll try and post it.....

Probably real ones from way back, just been delayed by Air Traffic.

Just like the Wright brothers. There were 3 of them. We know about Wilbur and Orville, but Elmer is still stuck in the stack above Heathrow. waiting for a landing slot.

Had a trip to Toronto yesterday, so popped in to the base at Downsview. There is some armour there as well, so I'll be going back.

Over on the other side of the runway is Bombardier

Yesterday, a DC-3 with some modern turboprop commuter aircraft. First I thought the other one was a C-295 but the colour was too light.

One of Elmayerle's projects came over London just now, a US Army V-22 Osprey. It has a slight throbbing sound similar to that of a Chinook but sounds much smoother. I suspect it's been showing off somewhere and is heading back to Mildenhall/Lakenheath.

3x UH-60 Blackhawks headed south, as I was walking into the local Home De(s)pot and a VC-25A inbound to KACY for touch and go's whilst headed home.

In the last couple of days we have been seeing Blackhawks flying around Edmonton, which is unusual, and quite the contrast from the more common Bell CH-146 Griffons that we see here in Edmonton.

Had a KC-135 fly over yesterday, coming from over the Lake. It was rather low. I ran and got the camera, inserted the memory card, but for some reason none of the pics are there. Too bad really, it was a lovely, sunny morning and she was lit up rather nicely.

It was probably a KC-135Q, used to refuel F-117s, and it was in 'Stealth Mode'............  ;)

This afternoon there was a horrendous whirring and roaring and a Police Eurocopter came over my house at WELL under the permitted altitude, headed over the main road and did a seriously steep turn over the Park.

It then went into a hover and landed! It seems there was a Police publicity event going on the Park. Made a change to see ANY of them around here, I thought they'd all retreated into the Cheltenham HQ. Just as he was landing it seemed as if he was about to touch down on my neighbours chimney.........  ;)

Drone video of the Everett, WA recycler fire shot yesterday evening, still smoldering this AM.
At about the 1:18 to 1:35 point you can see our neighbourhood, we're right on the south
side of the golf course (course south fence is our north fence) at center top of the frame.
Luckily the prevailing winds are from the NW so the plume was kept away from us, although
there was a general haze in the neighborhood at about 05:00 because of the still morning air,
luckily it cleared out by 07:30 and there is just a slight smoke odour, the neighbour's grill is
worse. :banghead:

Saw a CF-188 takeoff at YYC this morning, then later, an all military grey A330 landed which didn't have RAF markings, only civil registration number which I could quite make out but looked like a G-?????. Then in the afternoon an Atlas Air 747 landed an hour or so after the A330 took off again

Yep!

That military grey A330 did have the lightning cheat line all down the sides though, like all the Voyagers have, and yellow outlined doors and the registration number was in yellow too. Other than those markings, nothing else. No refueling pods either. I have read one Voyager is to be kept as a VIP aircraft and in civil registration, so I'm wondering if it's that one.
