Yesterday, during the awards for our 5K run (a fund-raiser for my work) a C-17 from Dover AFB came over Low and Loud as if he was a salute to the event.

Thanks, Air Force!

An An-2 Colt!  :o Pretty distinctive sound. At first, I thought someone was riding a vintage tractor out on the streets.  ;D
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Sure it was green? Not to question your colour acuity, but Ornge's S-76s are, well, orange:

There's one based in London, as well as one of the new AW139s and a King Air.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

It was definitely lime green, so it's possible I seen a privately-owned/flown S-76.

The Wooksta!

A Dauphin flew overhead yesterday and the Flying Pig is always overhead  - at least I can hear a helicopter most nights.

A couple of interesting beasties have swung over the Hungarian hotel I´m cuently staying in.

Yesterday, while I was soaking in one of the outdoor pools at the hotel, a rather noisy and smokey MiG-29 went over, fairly high up, but still unmistakably a Fulcrum.

Today, from my balcony, I could see a sail plane sillhouetted against some clouds. Pretty sure it was an ASK-21 or something similar.

are you sure it was a Mig-29, as i remember, the HuAF withdrawn them from service in december 2010, could have been a Serbian or Bulgarian one

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

I have no Idea who the Fulcrum belonged to. As you mentioned, Serbia and Bulgaria are possibilities. However, as I¨m in northern Hungary right now, I'd say a Slovak or Polish machine  is more likely.

As we were coming back to our hotel this afternoon,  there were a pair of gripens doing some flying about in the distance.

Only an Apache?    They'll need to get the Vulcan from Solway Aviation Museum out of mothballs if that one gets out of hand........on the other hand if they do behave, it could be the best match of the season.
