Great pics Todd

I'd say by going with the close up, they're F-16's, there's only one exhaust plume ----  :-\

Or do you think they're F-35's ------  see how the tail planes hang out the back ---

see what I mean

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

My money is on the f-35! Tailplanes, indeed. I was thinking about the contrail as well and figured at such speed (that they might be travelling at, coupled with altitude) maybe they blended into one wide one but I think you're right.. they would be more distinct if they were coming from two engines opposed to one.

Also, I noticed Ca. didnt fly F-15s earlier when I got curious and checked wiki, so I was thinking maybe some USAF stuff going on up north, perhaps,  and I'm sure they share air space... not like we're on bad terms.. but yeah, if the Canucks are operating Lightning II's they defintely fit the bill. That's a good eye!

Watched the RAAF's trainees fly over in formation this morning during my walk along the coast.   Nine PC-9s in formation with a tenth trailing off one flank - perhaps the main instructor checking the formation?  Anyway, must be practising for the upcoming ANZAC Day fly past.   Interesting seeing them all in such close formation.

They can't have been F-35s, F-35s are meant to be '....at the cutting edge of stealthiness.....' so you wouldn't be able to see them anyway.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Definitely looks like a type of F-15 to me, the horizontal stabs and placement of the drop tanks are what make me form that opinion,

I'm going with F-15 by wing shape.  It doesn't look as trapezoidal as the next-gen Lawn Dart.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh so I got one right after all!?! Ha!   So they had to have been USAF then, right?

In other news! I hear this plane flying before I saw it and it turned out to  be a crop duster toting a big advertisement for one of the local charlatans.

My camera makes every picture I take look so much smaller than it appears in person.

I'll try to get a zoom later... but I haven't seen aerial banner advertisement in a long while.

They're frequent along the Jersey Shore beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend; aka Tourist Season.  And if tourists are in season, why can't we hunt them?

'cause if you just fleece them, they come back the next year and the year after that and the year after that, all just to be fleeced again and again...

Apparently 'Long Pork' (the old Maori term) is quite high in Cholesterol... I don't know where you'd find anything 'Lite', maybe some of the Free Range Hippy types? But then you'd have to worry about 'substances', but which are probably still healthier than 'additives'.

Unfortunately, we don't really get Free Range down here.  They're more cube-farmed, although thankfully not as greasy as further up the Jersey Shore.

Rheged

Coming back from Bristol yesterday (the post-op review of earlier cancer surgery)  LOTS of Herculeses.  Six at about 5000 feet near Gloucester, then later, near Hereford  , a couple of them about 300 feet above the road.  I didn't see them in detail cos I was watching the road, but Madame Rheged reckons that a chap looking out of the back door of one of them waved to her.

The surgery , incidentally, has been such a success that the consultant nearly did a lap of honour round his office in triumph  "That's not just good, that's really fine" quoth he.
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
