How cool is that..   I take it that it is a bit un common to see more than one or two or a few together at a time?  Or is it that it's a strange time of year to see them congregate?

Its too early for everything around here these last several days.
The Sandhill Cranes migrate through here and northwest Indiana. There is a nature preserve in Indiana that has hundreds gathered there in the fall. Quite a sight. And the white tail deer camp in the same place and they seem to get along fine.

It's the CF-105 replica Kit, the one used in the Dan Ackroid movie

Not this one. That one is at Reynolds. This one was made by a volunteer group at the museum in Toronto, and doesn't have the droopy wings. When they are attached, that is

I don't know what's going on but more helos! I live about a mile south of a huge artillery base (US  Army) and they've been firing off the big stuff and lots of other stuff lately. Sounds like the Battle of Stalingrad around here. I think they're related.  Anyway, I havent seen them but have definitely heard more of the Chinooks, and I keep seeing Blackhawks. The Army Airfield is less than a mile North/NW of the house here so all the traffic coming in and out of there is seen from the house here. That's always nice... especially so back in the 80's and 90's whem the C-5s did touch and goes!!

Also saw another thing that I haven't seen in awhile... a T-38! There for awhile I've only been seeing the new propeller guys but this looked like one of the "new" two-toned" painted T-38. I was pleasantly surprised on that one, I thought they were gone for good. I guess maybe Sheppard AB is getting an order of the new upgraded ones or something. Works for me! I just wish the Tweets would come back.

Would that be the F-16 style gray pattern?

Similar, yup. I think all the upgraded C versions are getting it:

I like the old style better but I think it's pretty neat!

I saw the NASA ones once at Monterey County airport in California many years ago. They were very sharp!

Oh, glorious! What a treat. I really like 'em, too, look at this lovely oil painting by Douglas Castleman:

I don't think I've ever seen an ugly NASA plane.

The WB-57 is as close to ugly as NASA gets.

Especially the ones with looooooooong wings!  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Nice catch!

Sometimes I see stuff flying over head and I try to grab my camera(phone) and I always mess something up or it isn't even around. . ..   It's always frustrating when I DO have it though and like I said.. I mess something up.. wrong buttons or it picks a fine time to operate unusually slow. . ..
