NARSES2

Pelicans always look ungainly in the air to me. Used to see them in St Jame's Park every morning on the way to work and they were quite nasty pieces of work. Not unknown for them to eat the odd smaller duck or other bird. Not sure if those in the Royal Parks have their wings clipped though ?

Been lucky enough to see some Albatross whilst was on a cruise and the wings on those are enormous. They just seem to fly with no effort what so ever. Magnificent.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Everybody and their Mother heading toward the USA (and elsewhere too) the other day when it was CAVU (and DAMN cold too!)

Does "below your house" count? We live on the countryside, on a hillside, and this morning a Blackhawk helicopter clapped by, rendering yours truly a quite spectacular view of the rotor head and cabin roof. Groundhugging, is the word of the day, I believe..

And no, I didn't get up a camera. Too stunned, I'm afraid..
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

lets see, last week movements, aBelgian Navy Alouette III landed at my new workplace over lunchtime (one of the things i love of my new job)

today, me and the missus went to Aalst, and from the train, i could spot an old engineless Boeing 707 (ex Benin AF presidential aircraft) and an Ex-Belgian AF Lockheed T-33A sitting in a compound just outside the town of Kwatrecht (near Ghent)
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Just saw three Chinooks fly almost directly over my house.  Awesome!  Haven't seen one in flight in YEARS.

This angle is from the road but might this be the one?

Old airliners have been converted to houses!!

While I was up a step ladder cleaning the gutters yesterday something flew along the beach which had a tough sounding noisy piston engine.
Unfortunately it was low enough to be hidden by trees and houses so I have no idea what it was but it wounded interesting.  I'm assuming it was a warbird.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That explains the difference between the street view pics and the aerial view.

A flock of Sandhill Cranes flying around where I was working today. Weather here is so warm trees are blooming and peoples allergies are acting up. Nature is getting a little goofy here lately.

How cool is that..   I take it that it is a bit un common to see more than one or two or a few together at a time?  Or is it that it's a strange time of year to see them congregate?

I'm reminded, now, of what I saw maybe a month ago. A flight of Canadian Geese in formation hooking it North. They appeared to be in full travel mode.  I like to think they were merely switching water bodies as it was still too early for their normal time to migrate back North.

What ever is it?

It looks like a CF-105 Arrow without a fin or outer wings.

It's the CF-105 replica Kit, the one used in the Dan Ackroid movie

A right, thanks Robert.

That's the movie called 'Arrow' isn't it? I think I have it stashed away on here somewhere.

That replica really needs to be on show somewhere, being as probably it is/was Canada's best ever aircraft.
