Confuscious (maybe)

Quote"stupid T-tail" ?!?!  Typical Eastern ...    :P

I myself would keep the t-tail only if you widened the chord of the vertical tail.

But, hey, it's strictly an aesthetic thing.

It's the giraffe camo that has completely WOWED me.

Now, I dare you to go into that camo with a direct contrasting "AIR KENYA" or the like, handpainted so the letters perfectly offset the background (tan on black, black on tan).
How's this for a wider chord! ;)     I was thinking I would throw down the gauntlet on your challenge, but that tan color was a custom and I'm not sure I can duplicate it.
Maybe I can do it in descending red, green, and yellow. :)

Fantastic Fin!

As for the trouble with custom colors, yada yada yada:

I don't think the paint would have to be a perfect match, anyhow.

Alright, I respond to your nearly pitched gauntlet with...

with...

I TRIPLE-DAWG-DARE you to paint the contrasting Air Kenya letters over the camo!

Well, I tried it and it looks so so. I used dry transfers for the lettering and painted over the top of those. I also increased the chord of the vertical stab to put the t-tail back on, but I kinda like it as is. ;)  :)

Wow: amazing!

I still think it's exceptional, even though it remains subtle.  If you're not satisfied with it, you could enhance the contrast by manipulating the background (dark) leopard spots into more strategic positions/shapes to give you just the right alternating colors.

I'll shut up, now.

Woah Mr Miller I am stunned!!!

Your work is simply amazing. I am in awe of how you can start something almost as a lark and have it turn out so wonderfully.

I still vote for the T-tail. Because Baz sent me an Xmas card.

P.S. Come to Kenya we've got LIONS! In Kenya, we've got LIONS and TIGERS!!! Kenya believe it?

BlackOps

I think it would work if you gave it a white outline, I know that's probably more trouble than it's worth but I think it would really set off the effect.

I like the addition to the tail. :)

I kind of like the "double take" effect...makes it more fun.

The 737 tanker thread got me interested in working on my 757/727 hybrid.I'm going to make an inflight dio with the 737 tanker refueling the A57. Unfortunately, I've bashed all my 737s and will need to get another soon. Here's what I've got so far...

I got to thinkin' ...what's the mission of this new hybrid. Since the L-1011 is getting on in years, the Pegasus II would need a new drop ship, so here it is. ;)

Quite interesting! Due note that the real Pegasus is roughly double the length of your minime whatchamecallit (I once had the idea of making a militerized Pegasus for the Buff, havent done it yet 'cuz no one make a 144th Peg and I'm not sure if I can convince me dad to let me repop one of his 1/200 buggars.).
