I joined in  February of this eyar and totally missed this one... That's really cool, I love the look of this aircraft.
We have to find a 7----7 to this marvel... 1707 or something like that... or a convair-style name (skylark)
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I should call it a flight of fancy, because that's what it's going to turn out to be. Here's my 1st attempt at giraffe camo and it looks it. Not as easy as tiger stripes, IMHO. It definately is a rule of thumb. If yer far enough away so that yer thumb covers it at arms length, it looks good.

JHM,
You're right, it does fit for the Phoenix build, but I'm not sure if I want to finish it. <_<

I never realised that an airliner long fuselage is like a girafe long neck. Thanks for opening my eyes! :D

From here the Giraffe scheme is lookin' pretty good, I'm pretty sure you DO want to finish it :)

Thank you all very much! B) Capt'n, here's your wish. ;)    I'll leave it up to y'all to decide if the t-tail stays or goes.

When I started the paint, I used a pencil to draw the patterns and the used a fine brush to fill them in, with the intent of coming back and feathering the edges. That didn't work and the spots on the front ended up looking too sterile, so I got out a flat brush about midway down. To me, it gives it rough edges that I saw in the patterns of the animal. I also noticed that the patterns on the animal were, to me, completely random, so I've got no restrictions. Just get a picture of a giraffe and go to town! ;)  :P

Woah Eddie that giraffe camo pattern is really smokin'! I love it!

I have no choice but to vote that you keep the T-tail, otherwise Mr Howling Mouse will be telling people they should omit spats from their builds even though it's a proven fact that spats increase the coolness factor of any aircraft by 1000%.

Have you considered adding spats?

I love spats!

P.S. That T-tail adds to the coolness factor of this baby by 1000%!

John Howling Mouse

"stupid T-tail" ?!?!  Typical Eastern ...    :P

I myself would keep the t-tail only if you widened the chord of the vertical tail.

But, hey, it's strictly an aesthetic thing.

It's the giraffe camo that has completely WOWED me.

Now, I dare you to go into that camo with a direct contrasting "AIR KENYA" or the like, handpainted so the letters perfectly offset the background (tan on black, black on tan).

I add my vote FOR keeping the T-tail, as it was, adding originality to the model. But creation is not a matter of votes, the creator is the one to decide himself...

Looks great, Eddie.  I'll agree with JHM that you should only keep the T-tail if you widen the chord of the vertical tail.  Personally, I think that with the T-tail and canards it looks to employ the three-lifting-surfaces approach of the Piaggio Avanti and that's goodness in my book.

That giraffe camo works a treat mate :)  It looks like the kind of thing Greg would attempt (and pull off).  Its cthulu77-tastic!

What a beauty!
You can add a T-tail, if you like; but she does not need it
