Collected a couple of things I had 3D printed at the library:

A double-mag clip for the airsoft MP-5; just need some M3 nuts and bolts, now

A couple of WW2-era Bofors 40mm projectiles, for a friend and me, to go with the brass casings we got about 30 years ago when the Navy got rid of them to a scrap dealer.
So that's a long-term wish off the list.

Your LIBRARY has a 3D printer? And they do contract work?  :o

Seems there are a few libraries with 3D printers across England and Wales, known as Makerspace. Your nearest would be in Swanley or Barking.

Hell no, Coleford is only 7 miles away from me. I'm suitably amazed.  :o

Can't work out if the Fareham one still exists or not! Clicking the link takes you to a how to hire a room at the library page. Not that helpful...

Yes, they do.
Filament printers, a laser cutter, and when the town branch reopens, they will have a resin printer as well.

You should be able to find one locally, as has been said. Check them out; a whole world of possibilities will open up for you.

Today I received an HPM Beaufreighter conversion set for the 1/72 Airfix Beaufort.
I already have one of these, and one of the DAP Beaufort sets as well, but I felt it wise to get a spare as HPM are closing down, possibly for good, and they might prove hard to get in the future.

I'm fortunate to have a couple of the HPM Beaufreighter complete kits tucked away.  One is likely to get a set of Beaufighter wings/engines for a more powerful version.

Quote from: Wardukw on January 28, 2026, 05:14:20 PMOk these are more tools than stash items but still model stuff .. i received 3 scalpel handles and 6 Swann Morton No11 blades ... now this clearly ain't enough   blades but its a start ,,so i went a huntin ... cand i found 100 packs of No11 blades ,, all surgical jobbies ,, the prices were all over the place ,,and i MEAN all over the place ,, anywhere from $39 nz to $99 nz for the exact same thing!!
Then i saw a Temu add for 100 packs of Japanese made No11 blades for $14.79nz and that now got my attention ... so without further ado i ordered 3 packs of blades .. a 100 pack of No11's ,,a 100 pack of No10's and a 100 pack of No21's ..all for $46.71nz and free postage ... i aint running out of blades when this lot turn up
Least i know these will turn up ....Temu have been very very good .

There is actually a "My Toolbox Just Got Bigger" thread in the General Modelling forum.
Yep and I completely forgot about that 😅

I already have one of these, and one of the DAP Beaufort Mk V/VI sets as well, but I felt it wise to get a spare as HPM are closing down, possibly for good, and they might prove hard to get in the future.

I opened this up today and had a look.  Since I purchased the original two sets they have switched from cast resin engines and nacelles to 3D printed.  There were two sets of the Beaufreighter transfers and also a few sets of RAAF serial number sheets in grey and in white.  The serial numbers were not in the older set so I think maybe they were clearing out stock prior to the close down.  Which was nice of them.  Thanks HPM.

There was also a set of FCM transfers for Brazilian P40s which I did order but forgot to list above.
